The Rivulet (formerly Amberley House) is only 2 km from historic Battery point and vibrant Salamanca Square and 3 km from Constitution Dock. The rooms were impeccably decorated romantic renaissance décor. The bed was incredibly comfy and heated for weary bones. The bathroom was immaculate and clean. Location was ideal for exploring that particularly historic section of Hobart. A well rounded breakfast that included smoked salmon, hot and cold breakfast items. Very complete.

Pauline was super friendly and made us feel very much like home. The house was cozy and has everything we needed (heater most importantly). The location was ideal as well as it was near the city and airport. Wish we had longer stay.

They are also quite knowledgeable about the history of the place, there is a huon pine tree in the nice gardens of the house and the "Honesty-bar" has a very good selection of wines from mainland Australia and especially Tasmania.
