I had a great view of the lake from my room, and I especially liked it that my room had donkeys next to it. If you arrive from the Sun temple, it’s not bad to get to, but of course, like all properties, coming from the Yumani port, it’s a an uphill adventure against altitude. If you want to go to Las Velas, it’s the perfect location because it is the closest accommodation. Since may be walking through the forest on your way back and need a flashlight, it’s very easy to find your way back. It’s also on the way to one of the lookout points from which it’s about 10 minutes to get there. The path to it continues past Las Velas.

After walking around the city, I know I chose right. The food was all freshly cooked and delicious. Beautiful vintage building away from the noise of the center, perched on a small hill top that has sweeping views of the lake and the hills around. Garden in the front of the property is a great spot to watch amazing sunsets. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean, breakfast next to the fireplace every morning is decent and Mario who looks after the place is just too good.
