Great place to relax. We came here after finishing the Lost City Trek and this was perfect to recharge. When we went to Tayrona Park after, the owner helped us getting a ride with motor taxis and when it turned out I forgot something, he send a motor to bring it to us at the entrance to the park.

Wonderful small hotel in secluded tropical location with view of river. Room was large and had screens to let the warm breeze through. Amazing pool! Property is close to Tayrona Park entrance, also walkable to picturesque beach and bar. They also arranged activities with local guides. Highly recommend this hotel.

We would like to emphasize Angela who was just wonderful and accommodating. Including a daily Spanish lesson. :) We stayed 8 nights at the hotel and we would do it again. We used the transport service from an to the airport, Santa Marta and the Tayrona national park. We didn’t have any problems.

Very clean room, good breakfast in a lovely patio. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to wait for us arriving at 11pm.

Diana is a truly amazing host! I’ve never stayed somewhere where the manager has been so friendly, welcoming and helpful before and during my stay! Thank you so much for that. The hotel is cute - really pretty and well kept gardens and a pool to use as well. The rooms are basic but you get exactly what you pay for. Would recommend to anyone who wants great value for money when visiting Tayrona park.

The hosts are very kind and helpful! We left our luggage there before going into Tayrona park for a night. After we spend two days in the park we came back and they had the room and luggage ready for us. It's very close to El Zaino entrance and the bus to/from Palomino and Santa Marta comes by every few minutes. Swimming pool was very nice to cool down. Overall very relaxed!

We’ve been traveling through South America for 1 year and Posada Villa Margarita has been our favorite stay. The place is absolutely magical. It is a family owned posada with an amazing familial atmosphere and the kindest staff that make you feel immediately at home. We ate delicious homemade meals and pastries during our stay. The room was stunning, with a view that looks like a painting. Bed was very comfy and lots of pillows! We stayed in the Mirador de la Sierra room which had a beautiful private balcony and hammock. There is a beautiful pool onsite that overlooks the ocean and mountains, we spent lots of time here! Access to the beach is very easy, a short walk on a stunning plant-filled boardwalk. The closest beach has a great local atmosphere and rarely gets crowded. There are a couple restaurants there with some tasty food and rentable chairs to lounge on if you wish to spend a day at the beach! Access to the bus that takes you to Tayrona, and even further into Palomino is very easy. Perfect for day trips into the park or further down the coast! We had booked one week, and ended up extending for another. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! Couldn’t think of a better way to come experience this part of Colombia.
