Romy and his family were very helpful and welcoming. The hostel was super clean, 3- 5 minute maximum walk to center, very very quiet and safe feeling. The breakfast was good and priced well but it is basically the same menu - eggs, toast, fruit, juice, coffee - everyday which you find in all the hotels here. I definitely would stay here again.

Boasting a garden, Hostal Cattleya is located in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno in the San Cristobal Island region, 1.1 km from Oro Beach and 1.6 km from Mann. It is situated 100 metres from Playa de los Marinos and provides a shared kitchen. The guest house features a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. We loved our stay at Hostal Cattleya. We had a room on the upper floor and there is a terrace in front of the room with hammocks and sofas and a beautiful view. The breakfast is also on this terrace and it is prepared by Ivan at the time you want. We loved that, because on 2 days we had to leave before 7 am to dive and breakfast was ready for us before 6:30. It is a simple but very tasty breakfast with fruit, eggs or omelet, fresh warm bread, jam, fresh juice. You can also use the fridge on the terrace to store drinks or other things you want. There is water for the guests to refill the water bottles and you can also make a tea anytime. Ivan even leaves a binoculars there, so you can spot the sea lions at the beach. He was a fisher and has so many stories to tell about San Cristobal. It is so nice to talk to him, it is like talking to someone from your family. His wife Trudy belongs to a pioneer family from Floreana island, so interesting, we found informations about her family at the museum at Charles Darwin station. The hostal is very close to the airport, 5-minute walking distance and is also very close to everything. In 3 minutes you are at the first beach and can see the first sea lions and blue-footed boobies. Our room was big, bed was comfortable and shower worked very good. Check in and check out was super smooth, we got our room as soon as we arrived. They also provide beach towels if you want. We loved San Cristobal, I think it was our favorite island, and we loved our stay at Hostal Cattleya. Thanks for everything, Ivan!

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. The Isabella Beach House is located on the edge of the beach of Puerto Villamil, via the beach you can also walk in a few minutes to the small center of the port town. We were received very friendly and everything was explained well. Our room was on the second floor and very spacious. Breakfast can be added for $10 per person if needed, we had it on three days and it was very tasty. The beach is literally only few meters away from the hotel and we used it every day. By the way, while the hotel has written several times that there is no ATM on Isla Isabela, this has since changed. There is an ATM directly at the central square in Puerto Villamil.

Alfredo showed me parts of his fruit farm and let me know I could help myself to as much as I please. It’s only 3 dollars in a taxi to the town at any time, but Alfredo will take you for just 2 dollars if he is available.

Capitan Max B&B is a smoke-free facility and safety deposit boxes are at hand for guests to use. Guests will be welcomed with a coffee and tea station, accompanied by cookies, sweets and in-season fruits. Max and his staff are super friendly and we enjoyed every second of our stay. He helped us whenever we needed it. We really liked the maritime style of the hotel. If we ever come back to Santa Cruz we will definitely stay at Capitan Max B&B.
