A continental breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. So very pleased we booked this beautiful light and airy annex conversion, just 15 minutes walk to the centre of Mousehole! Huge bed, huge smart TV (netflix included - finally got to watch The Irishman!) comfy sofa, glorious electric fire with mood lighting, handy kitchenette with 'drinks fridge' (also has breakfast offerings inside!). The compact, naturally-lit luxury bathroom with walk-in shower had an array of shower products on pump and soft, fluffy towels AND flannels! Our hosts were thoroughly friendly and obviously pride themselves on providing the highest standard of guest accommodation, a tasty supply of pastries and other breakfast items, as well as a surprise treat (the welcome drink in the fridge is a very kind gesture too). These land in the room while you're out and how lucky we were that a camembert and crusty loaf had arrived as these were to form our 'dinner' on our second night due to a booking error at the pub down the road. Perfect, as we really just wanted to sit in and watch movies - the room was so much a home-from-home. We felt practically 'moved-in' due to the shockingly bad weather which saw us enjoying the longest lie-in followed by an afternoon of TV prior to a quick catch-up for a cuppa at the Coastguard Inn down in Mousehole. Even though I longed to enjoy a harbour stroll, it was to our benefit that we had made the most fortunate of bookings and remained content in our surroundings at Bryher Cottage. Though we never got to enjoy the sun terrace, we were granted a later departure time due to having had a wash-out with the weather - thank you, Cornish rain, for earning us an extra hour in our haven! Featuring garden views, Ivy House Cornwall B&B in St Austell features accommodation, a shared lounge, a garden and a terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the bed and breakfast free of charge. The house is close to town, but in a very quiet area with a lovely surrounding garden, so it feels further away; there is a train line close by, but it is not noisy and I barely noticed the trains. The bedrooms and bathroom are large and spacious with lovely heavy curtains to block the light. The breakfast was perfect, there was a plenty of choice. The host is very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
