The four course dinner at Nutheim is made of local ingredients and gives the food a homemade feeling that matches the welcoming home-feeling from the hostess presenting the food and the history of the hotel. Dinner is served with excellent wine or beer from the hotel’s own microbrewery. The breakfast buffet is traditional for Telemark and includes homemade bread and jam. The four course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented! Ellen, the owner, told us the interesting history about the area before dinner. The next day she gave us a tour of the parsonage and chapel, which had been her childhood home. She made our stay so personal and special. It was a rainy fall day outside but inside it was cozy and we were able to sit by the fire for a relaxing morning.

All other rooms include access to a communal kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee maker. All rooms have a private bathroom. Loved my stay at Solheim Overnatting! The host was incredibly kind and polite, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived.

Morning fog on the lake was lovely. The calls of cranes echoing from the hills. The 1770 stabbur was very roomy and well-equipped with bathroom, kitchen, TV. I loved the history of the place—like a museum. Short drive to Bo or Lunde, Telemark. Torstein and Goril were charming hosts. I plan to return and recommend to my family.

Nice to wash my clothes after a few days in a tent. Everything is very clean and the bed is comfortable. The owners are very kind and willing to help. Nice that the room has fruit, water and some sweets😁 breakfast was good as well! Compared to other accomodations in the area the price is very good, specially for the space you get.
