Staying in Teresa’s home is like having a Portugese Mum with a big heart for a few days. Amazing house that became home for us, great views, swimming pool, tv room, super clean, cosy. Teresa is cooking great, everything was very tasty and it was so nice talking to her and seeing how she cared about each guest. Absolutely amazing experience being guest of Casa das Proteas! We spent there part of our honeymoon and ot was wonderful choice!

At the bed and breakfast, every unit has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. There is also a well-fitted kitchenette in some of the units equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a fridge. My wife and I loved the villa! It was clean and comfy. The host was super helpful and gave us good hiking tips. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean and spacious room and house, with amazing views. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure and temperature. A generous kitchen that would be excellent for long stays.

A toaster, a fridge and stovetop are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Together with another couple, we rented both apartments for 5 nights. We had the larger of the two with the hot tub. The apartment was very well-equipped and nicely designed. We had everything we needed including a lovely view. The bathroom was great. We spent much time on the large elevated terrace. We were able to cook meals for four. We felt very much at-home. The wonderful hosts met us in town to lead the way and showed us how to park. They also provided special treats and allowed us to enjoy their garden and fresh eggs. The location worked very well for us to explore the whole island. Groceries, gas, and restaurants were nearby.

Honestly at first, I was a bit taken aback that there is no staff on site and that it was more of a house/Airbnb type than a hotel. However, it turned out to be AMAZING. I made this purchase DAY OF because of a very stressful last minute change to my trip, and this place was just what I needed to unwind and relax. Everything was super clean, and safe, and the facilities were just wonderful. I also talked with the cleaning lady the next day and she was super sweet. There were mango trees dropping fruit on the property, and all in all it was just magical. Free protected parking and everything. I felt completely safe there. There’s also a grocery store like a 5 min walk away if you want to go pick things up to cook (as well as many eateries).
