Situated by the Mekong River, Happy Family Guesthouse features basic and comfy cottages with free Wi-Fi access. Surrounded by tropical greenery, it provides a garden and swimming pool with sun deck.
The guesthouse is just 2 km from Dong Phu Dunes. Vinh Long City is 10 km away, while Cai Be floating market is a 30-minute boat ride away.
I was accompanied by Host Ju, she was very helpful. Unfortunately I was the only person at the place. But don't get discouraged to book it, Ju and other stuff will do all the best to make you feel relaxed. The swimming pool was great and as a bonus they have an outside gym.
Food at the place was great, right portions. Also it may look it is far way, but honestly you can rent bike and go to Coco house(restaurant on the other side) and than go to local zoo and Finnish trip in Pagoda and come back.
I u wanna go to Vinh Long I would advice you to tike motorbike, which you can rent at hostel.
Ju was also organizing for me how to get to place and from it, just contact her she will organize local taxi for you.
Btw. Surrounded art is amazing. Painting and sculptures, bridges, really cool!

The units at the bed and breakfast feature private entrance and soundproofing so guests can enjoy a peaceful stay. All units include a safety deposit box and some rooms will provide you with garden views. The units include a private bathroom, slippers and bed linen. Mr. Trung and his family are wonderful. He speaks English very well and helps you with everything you need. It was my birthday during my stay and my husband and the family surprised me with a cake, flowers and fruit. So lovely. I really enjoyed cooking dinner with then and, OMG dinner menu was amazing.

Really beautiful homestay, every meal was eaten right on the river with incredible sunsets. Very friendly staff, delicious food and basic but practical rooms. Surrounding area was quiet but very interesting and beautiful, felt off the beaten track if that’s what you like. Was nice to explore it on the mopeds. Boat tour was also very interesting, and the pool table was a nice bonus. Very good value for money!

The staff spoke very little English but with the aid of Google translate we got by. Unfortunately there was no evening meal option and it was very far to walk for dinner. My partner became unwell whilst there and we could not travel back to go chi min city by bus so we needed a private taxi, the young man at the accommodation organised for us. We were very grateful.

Hong is a wonderfull host who's trying to make you feel at home. She arranges motorbike rentals, tours and booking a bus for your next trip without any commission. She speaks German and English. The homestay is fairly new and superclean. The beds are really good en the airco is noiseless. The food is delicious and freshley made and really cheap. I would come back any time. We spend 4 days, rented a scooter, did the small boat tour with her brother etc. . It was lovely.

Very nice place, on Mekong river with beautiful sunsets everyday. Nice dinners at the homestay, everything is so fresh cooked and good! The island is quiet and beautiful (you have to take the bikes and discover by yourself).

The homestay is in a lovely setting with flowers and fruit trees all around. We really appreciated that the owner arranged a private car for our family from Rach Gia - and the ferry took us all the way to the homestay. Breakfasts were good and we also liked dinners (at 70k/meal). You can use the pool at a sister homestay up the road which was great.
