It's a nice quiet location. Great views of the boats. The food is really very good but not much variety. Also quite costly - 27 euros for a fish dinner alone. The young girls working are a credit to themselves - kept going.
Extremely comfortable beds, beautiful view on the sea and fishing boats, very quiet, very clean and very friendly owners. Patricia and Gerry were very helpful with choosing restaurants and they gave us top tips regarding exploring gorgeous Donegal area. We’ve received from them very useful map with written description. I am religious person so it was amazing that there was a church with everday Mass within just few steps from the property. I would highly recommend Seawinds to anyone. Thank you Patricia and Gerry! ❤️
The Old Boathouse is full of character, with stylish, sea themed interiors and a relaxed cosy atmosphere. The bed is extremely comfortable too! It was also lovely to sit outside in our little enclosed ‘walled garden’ and look out over the harbour. My husband and I would thoroughly recommend this property and found our host Sorcha couldn’t have been more helpful 😁
The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, warm and cosy. It had everything that was needed. It was great sitting out on the veranda looking at the beautiful scenery, and listening to the ocean, very quiet and peaceful. It is a great location for travelling to other places of interests and some of the lovely sandy beaches in Donegal, Mullaghduff, Carrickfinn and The Boat Strand. Thank you Meave for looking after us and all your little welcoming treats. Everything was perfect, we had such a lovely time.
Very comfortable stay and very friendly host. It was in a great location close to our boat trip to see the Sliabh Liag cliffs. Thankyou Theresa.
Friendly staff. Walking distance to the Rusty Mackerel - 15/20 mins (great pub with food) and a short drive to Teelin harbour ( boat trips to see Slieve League from the sea). Very good breakfast and we were alllowed to leave luggage whilst on a boat trip and collect it at lunchtime - much appreciated..
Great location in the middle of town. The owners were friendly and helpful. There is a nice outdoor balcony area in front where you can relax with a book and drink in the afternoon. We were able to park on site, which is really convenient. Easy walk to restaurants in town - try the Boathouse!
Beautiful spot and really cosy Boathouse! Perfect location for day trips. We will stay here again when we return!
The hotel was right in the area we wanted to visit-- Slieve League Cliffs both for hiking and taking a boat tour at the foot of the cliffs. The traditional music was wonderful. Any visitor should check for when traditional music is scheduled. We were fortunate that the Sunday we were there, traditional music was scheduled. GREAT PERFORMANCE! WONDERFUL PUB! Enjoyed the Rusty Mackerel!
