I have found a piece of Paradise and experienced a true Tico hospitality at Cabinas Yafeth. It is located at Playa Caletas in the remote part of Osa Peninsula, between Drake Bay and Corcovado National Park. There are three cabins personally built and cared for by the loveley couple, Christian and Virginia, and their 12 year old son Yafeth. They live in the premises along with their extended family. Our largecabin was the newest with AC, modern toilet and hot water shower. Comfortable bed and pillows, and clean towels. All the wonderful meals were served in the dining area. Tea bags and hot water is offered along with filtered cold water dispenser. Cerveza is availavle to purchase. If you want to be in such a place, you must Stay here. You will wake up to the chirping of the birds and crashing waves at the beach. The cabinas are not oceanfront, and the beach is just 1-2 minutes down the path.

The host is super lovely and such a nice person with a huge amount of recommendations the eyes for details (like beautiful flowers).The location is perfect with direct River access which flows into the ocean (or you walk around 2 minutes to the beach stairs). The apartment is super clean, comfy bed, mosquito protection, AC and a balcony/terrace. Truly a recommendation! If a little kitchen would be available we would extend our stay to a much longer period.

The whole place was perfect! Groceries and restaurants within walking distance. Near all of our tour pickup spots. Beautiful ocean view. The air conditioning was a blessing as it was so hot and humid. Vincent went out of his way to provide a mangrove tour. Will definitely stay here again!

Elmer and all the volunteers made our stay very comfy. The place is absolutely fenomenal. We brought our own food to cook. Sometimes we had to waite until the staff was finished cooking. But that was no problem. Cooking is on wood fire. This isnt the place for luxury so dont expect this, but you will be rewarded with a touch in the live of an real costarican farm. I would recommend it to everyone. There is a river where you can swim, waterfalls and do especially the night tour.

It’s a small place with a nice garden, therefore it’s pretty calm. The room’s decoration looks very good. Really loved the vibe of this place and the food they serve is delicious. The owners of the place are very nice and helpful! They have two lovely dogs as well. You can book tours directly from them and they have a laundry service as well.

Lovely family run property which is great value for money considering that all 3 meals are included in the price (which is pretty necessary considering that you are a 30min drive from the village of Drake). The beaches are beautiful. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, were able to organise an excursion for us and also show us some of the wildlife close to the property.

The whole village and also this place are really friendly and calming. The hosts Tico and Sonya are so helpful and provide you with everything you need. A ride to the beach (the walk can be strenuous for older people because of the heat and because it's a climb up and down) was always offered by Tico when we had an excursion booked.
