It was absolutely amazing. Even better than we could imagine. Host, cottage, location are the best. We had the most magical time in Äkäslompolo. Thanks Simon for everything. We hope to visit there again soon. A big K Market supermarket, together with other shops, restaurants, lakes, forest trails just 5 min walking, Yllas ski resort 5 min drive, the cottage is so clean, warm, well equipped, cozy. We loved sauna and chimney. I highly recommend it. The owners are so friendly and nice. We had a really great experience.

Villa Ruskamaja is a nicely furnished, well equipped, house , flooded with light, in the middle of the woods (car highly recommended) near Äkäslompolo. We were in two, so the house was really spacious. Although the bathroom is tiny, it met our needs. The floor heating is great, as well as the sauna - next to the room for drying your clothes. We also appreciated the second toilet on the first floor so much, because you need`nt climb down the steep stairs during the night.

A little “out” in the forest with some privacy and the forest directly surrounding but still everything in the village reachable within only a few meters. It was everything there we‘ve needed and we felt at home right away. A very cozy and comfy house. We’ve enjoyed the sauna and the chimney very much and due to the cold outside it was all the time very good temperated inside. The floor heating in the bathroom was a huge plus.
