We enjoyed the Butler breakfast. We liked being able to go through the garden area and cross the street to visit Kilkenny Castle. Butler House was richly appointed and is of historical value. The staff was very accommodating, and the location could not be beat. We would not hesitate to come back for a visit.

I love this place and I always booked when available in Kilkenny. Is the best that you can get in the city. Better than anything. It s a very luxurious, warm, quiet place, with amazing views of the city. You have everything you need just down the apartment from restaurants, coffee shops, hairdressers, and Dunnes stores. Is an amazing, huge apartment, decorated to the smallest details. With plenty of towels, toilet paper, shower gel, washing powder, coffee, milk, and bread. Literary dream place. And the owner is such a sweetheart, a really lovely person, always responds to any request and does anything to make your stay brilliant. thank you

The fact that a good Guinness was on tap in minutes after getting settled in didn’t hurt. The pub atmosphere was typical small village with several locals. We got to chatting with one of them, he was quite friendly and helpful. The owner, Jim Burke, was helpful in recommending dinner locations for both nights. If you love Portuguese food he can tell you where to get a great meal!
