The apartment was perfect for us, with everything you needed for a get away. The apartment is behind the B&B which gives you privacy with its own garden view. It was clean, equipped with internet, tvs, cooking utilities and information for area attractions/dining. We arrived to a greasy baked loaf of bread, scones, jams, eggs, cheese, milk and breakfast cereals. For us, it was a perfect and more than expected.

Located in Rathdrum and only 12 km from Glendalough Monastery, Clissmann Horse Caravans Glamping provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This recently renovated luxury tent is located 15 km from Wicklow Gaol and 29 km from Powerscourt House, Gardens and Waterfall. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax.

The caravans are beautiful and very efficiently designed/laid out. The listing on booking.com doesn't give a lot of information about the caravans so I thought I'd include some information here. Layout: In daytime mode, there is a large sofa facing the kitchenette (sink and cooker with pots/bin/water container/icebox etc underneath) and there is a table with a smaller 2 seater sofa on either side. There is a dresser with storage of kitchen utensils and crockery and 2 free drawers for your own use. There are a couple of other tall storage units, for hanging clothes/suitcase erc. In nighttime mode, the large sofa pulls out and turns into a large double bed. You can also have a bunk bed over this for an extra one person, if you like (we didn't but the kids used it in the daytime for playing). The table folds down to create another smaller double bed, which comfortably sleeps two kids. Bedding is stored under this bed. There's a gas cooker, with 2 rings and a grill. There are also gas powered lights indoors. We didn't use these lights as the weather was really hot while we were there and I had brought a chargeable electric night light for the kids. All the caravans are the same and they each have a picnic table, firepit and BBQ outside. They're also reasonably private with trees between each one. You can buy fuel for the BBQ/firepit at the reception. By chance we had brought two long cane sticks and these were perfect for roasting marshmallows over the fire at night. There's a small building with a communal fridge. We didn't use this but should have as it would have been much more effective than the icebox in the hot weather. There wasn't much food in it when I checked on our last day. There is a very modern common room with a sink with hot water, WiFi and power sockets where you can charge your phone etc.

Loved the staff they couldn't do enough for us. The food was wonderful & they made an exception for my vegetarian needs as minimal choice for vegetarians. My other half loved the menu & food no problem for him at all. Our room was cosy, clean & a good space. The building is beautiful & so clean, it is truly loved & cared for. The pub has a good atmosphere & we felt like we were in the heart of a local village with the locals which is exactly what being in Ireland is about..Thank you for making us welcome.

    - Location is great, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but at the same time it feels lively. The nearest village is only a ten minute drive which is great - Layout of the site is well done and you feel like you have your own secluded area - Caravan is a lot more spacious then I thought it would be and there is plenty of space inside and out to relax - Staff are very friendly and you may even get a chance to meet the owners dogs who we loved
