The perfect tiny house near Eglisstadir- we loved it! Beautiful location, cosy house with a wood fireplace and comfortable couch. The hosts were lovely and left us treats for Christmas Eve. We also enjoyed the discount for Vok baths. Although we didn't get to see the Northern Lights due to snow/clouds- it was still a lovely stay. We woke up to a winter wonderland on Christmas day.

We booked a lodge for 4 days but due to a snow storm and closed roads we stayed an extra night. The hosts are absolutely wonderful. They gave us dinner and breakfast. Apart from their care they are truly passionate about their work. They are building new lodges that look amazing. Our lodge was cozy and had everything we needed. For us it was an emergency stay due to road closures, but the host was extremely hospitable and friendly. It was not planned stay and our stay was just for waiting a better weather, however it was very convenient and nice place to stay. Facilities are excellent and everything was exceptional. The smoked lamb and dried fish gave us an unexpected taste of Iceland and we really enjoyed his travel stories and knowledge of the country.
