We spent 10 wonderful days in Haputale. Thank you Dias family for your warmth, friendliness and help. Mother Farina is the best cook in Sri Lanka. Her cooking fantasy is fantastic. Viraj is very attentive and ready to resolve any issue. Shirodh is a wonderful guide. We showed us a beautiful Lipton Seat. There is also Frank. At his hut you can have a delicious roti and tea during the day. The hotel is in an amazingly beautiful location. You can see sunrise right at the door of the room. We walked every day through tea plantations and mountains. The shared dinners turned out to be a new but interesting experience for us. We met interesting people from many countries and had talked a lot. I hope we will come to White Monkey next year

This place was truly the best experience I lived in my 4 months in Sri Lanka. Haputale is incredible and the camping site is placed in a strategic point which has an incredible view over the hill country. To reach it you have to walk for 15 minutes in a gorgeous tea plantation. And the food… super delicious. Most importantly, the guys managing it are very friendly and were so nice to us.
