This hotel was one of the nicest, if not the nicest, hotels I have stayed at in Terceira. I have been traveling to Terceira for years and have never stayed in a hotel like The Shipyard. It is brand new and everything inside and outside was done tastefully and modern. If you are not familiar with Terceira, it is incredibly humid. It is very common to smell or see mold when entering buildings or houses. This hotel is very well cared for, there were no signs of mold and our apartments were kept very clean the entire stay. The breakfast was lovely, the best pastel de natas I've had from Terceira.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was cozy and the view was amazing. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast basket in front of our door, prepared with care by the very accommodating family who runs this place. Even their cat was friendly. It was our first stay at the Azores, and we're probably spoiled now, this place was that good! Definitely would book this again!

The house is spacious, super clean, and well stocked with everything you could need: fruit, milk, coffee, sugar, cookies, laundry detergent… even a delicious homemade banana cake! The view from the roof is spectacular! Laura did a great job of explaining how appliances worked, neatest markets, etc. Convenient to downtown Angra on foot but slightly quieter and maybe even prettier. Highly recommend!

The grounds are attractive and well-maintained. We had complete privacy but Henry was available for any help we needed. He greeted us as 130 am in person and we found cheese , bread and jam waiting for us. The villa was a delight to wake up in and return to after a day of exploring. There was a parking spot for us as well. Listen to Henry’s recommendations! He knows all!

Guesthouse is very well taken care of, Daniela & Maria, who run it, are super friendly, helpful and patient. Big selection of items on breakfast and a very well equipped kitchen to make your own meals. Guesthouse is situated in a quiet village close to Angra.
