We were very well received! You will stay in a spacious room with all the necessary comforts. The bathroom is very nice too. You will share a common space with another room. However, we were alone that day and we did not meet any other holidaymakers. The common area is equiped with a fridge, microwave and coffee and tea machine but there is no toaster or something to cook. However, the owners are very helpful and do not hesitate to share all the necessary equipment if you wish to cook :) A great experience overall that we strongly recommend! And the exterior and the owners are very cool!

Perfect location in the heart of Barrydale. Our hosts Uwe and Carel clearly love what they do and where they are and that is contagious. The combination of German precision and the relaxing life and feel in a quaint is pretty special. Time stood still for a while on our way to the KKNK. The coffee and home made pastry on the stoep made us feel so welcome and the recommendation of dinner at the Hotel was a very good one. Barrydale will definitely be our stop over again. Thank you!

This was our second stay at The Whitehouse and we really had a lovely stay. Nicola's home-made goodies for breakfast was delicious and when my husband was a bit unwell at one stage, she couldn't have been more helpful. She also made a booking for us for dinner beforehand which was great. Her garden is a really peaceful place to relax. Nicola is a very caring hostess and will go back there whenever we tour that area again. Thanks Nicola!!

We loved the size, cleanliness and neatness of the unit. This accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped for self catering. Magriet welcomed us warmly, gave us information about the area and recommended restaurants and places we should visit. She was a really thoughtful and generous host, even bringing us a bowl of grapes that she had found in the village because they looked so good. We will definitely use this accommodation again.

Staff was very nice. The pub is a nice typically small village pub. It was a little bit noisy with loud music, but for a Saturday evening okay :) People definitely enjoyed their time! We had the option to be part of a braai in the evening. You can get easily in touch with the locals. Good place! Thank you!
