The place is overall beautiful and relaxing, with quiet and peaceful common areas. Washing machine available for guests.

There is free laundry machine with dryer. The room is well heated, well organised and most importantly very clean. The staff are not fluent with english but they try their best to communicate(can use google translate they can understandverywell)

The place is beautifullly secluded. The resident dog & cat was such a delight to have as company. Such a pity we stayed only one night, would have loved to stay longer. Situated in Shangri-La, 13 km from Guishan Park, Aurora Hotel features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. The hosts at Aurora were some of the most helpful and welcoming that I've ever had. They greeted us with Tibetan tea on our arrival and when we left, they gave us a small gift bag. We visited during the Spring Festival so some things were closed and transport was not as available, they helped us with this issue. The hotel is located out of Old town and is a 15 minute drive away. They arranged private drivers for hire, drove us into town whenever we needed and helped us organize our COVID tests. They took us to the hospital and to the bus terminal and helped us plan everything. They spoke English and were always available on Wechat. They provide free breakfast and offer dinner on site. This family is so sweet and so extremely helpful! I will be returning simply because of how warm and welcoming they were.
