Although it is in a town, it is located in a very peaceful setting and is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of St Die des Vosges. We went for a meal in town and were caught out with no coats or umbrella when a rain storm arrived. We then received a message from our host who kindly drove in and rescued us from a soaking. The facilities were among the best in any hotel I've ever been in. The breakfast was traditional French and it was absolutely delicious. Perhaps a few "non-traditionally-French" additions would have been nice (like sliced cheese and ham).

The chateau is beautifully decorated. The family room consists of two rooms with connecting door. Ideal for families with (small) children. Very spacious! Bathroom with great rain shower. We had a lovely, extensive breakfast. Our kids loved the swings and slide in the huge, green garden. And they loved to play with the house cat. The owner is super friendly and very helpful!

Peaceful location surrounded by rolling mountains. Such tranquility! The perfect base for cycling or hiking. Our refuge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We were comfortable and can’t wait to return.

Situated in La Croix-aux-Mines in the Lorraine region, La mansarde aux digitales has a garden. The property is 44 km from Breisach am Rhein and free private parking is offered. The open house, friendly hosts and the translator that could speak very good English 😄😄. It was a unplanned visit but definitly one we dont forget.
