What’s not to like about an elegant small hotel such as this in the heart of Lucca. On check in we got a great briefing of what to do in town and took the manager’s advice and attended the Puccini and Verde opera in a 1600 era cathedral. A high point. We also walked along the medieval walls of the town. The hotel was great. Breakfast was yummy, with pancakes and eggs and all of the continental goodies. We did book one room for each of us. Two tall people in these small European rooms wears thin on long trips (snoring included). So that made this stay pricey for us.

Great location, great staff, beautifully restored buildings inside the ramparts. Our room was very spacious! Breakfast was a wonderful spread of fresh fruit local cheese, charcuterie, farm eggs made to perfection, home made patisserie, fresh squeezed orange juice, apples oven cooked and a lot more. Easy paying parking 18euro per day. We will definitely stay here again soon!

Bed was very comfy with lovely bedding and apartment was spotlessly clean. Hosts were excellent to deal with and provided tea, coffee and toiletries. Extra bedding was also provided and aircon was great. Hosts also gave discount card to use in restaurant beside apartment which we used several time and food was lovely and not expensive.CloakYoung couple
