We had a warm and heartfelt welcome at Christina House. The dinner was made especially for us by two lovely women from the local area, and served to us by Eric, who gave us a charming and informative lowdown on the origins of each dish. I can’t describe how delicious and nourishing the food was. It tasted like it was made with love and care. The pumpkin soup, was an absolute knockout, so delicate and comforting. The dinner felt like a gentle ceremony of some kind. We invited Eric to sit with us for a while and had a stimulating and genial conversation, what an interesting and impressive person. The gardens are gorgeous, and abundant with flowers and a friendly kitten.

The gateman is such a sweet soul that he helped us maneuver, negotiated prices for transportation, and went the extra mile to not only direct us but also ensured we dnt miss our way. Additionally, what stands out is how quiet the place is. It's so quiet you'd hear a pin drop that comes in handy for people working or after long flights. The wifi is fast. Also, the environment is beautiful to behold. It's so green that if you're a plant lover or keen on nature, you'll enjoy this place. The mattress is good quality. You won't be tossing around. The sheets kept clean and white. Bed well done and warm. Alot of air circulation in the room it's not stuffy. The tiles in the bathroom no grout, spotless. The kitchen is big and clean . The place is well amaintained.

I so much loved this place! I stayed in a more crowded area of Arusha before and was searching for a quite and peaceful place afterwards and thats what i definetly found here:) When i arrived i was even served with a welcome drink, this never happened to me in another hostel in Tanzania! The big garden ist amazing and so is the breakfast. The owner is very nice and very helpful. Also the hostel ist still in walking distance to the center
