Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Enkusero is a small boutique camp, owned and run by William who is a local Masai, a passionate host and an excellent guide with15 years of experience. He took us for tailor- made safaris and went out of his way to show us the Big Five and countless other wonderful creatures. The location was fantastic and ideally located to visit the Masai Mara reserve. Our tent was luxurious and beautifully furnished . They had wooden decks with large verandas, for us to enjoy the sight of zebras, wildebeest and gazelles that grazed and freely roamed around the camp. The camp was exclusive and intimate in character with 3-4 luxury tents, perfect for one large or two small families. The food was par excellence . Robert is a fabulous chef who delighted in serving us exquisite dishes, most beautifully presented. We were quite apprehensive of food as we are vegetarians but it seemed no trouble for the skilled chef. The team, service and hospitality was superb. We took packed breakfast on most morning game drives. They were delicious and plentiful. I would like to make a special mention of the bush dinner with camp fire and lanterns which was really spectacular. William also organised sundowner drinks and it was simply humbling watching the sunset in the vast, peaceful setting of the Mara. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the traditional village of the Masai community, which William was happy to organise. To add to all this, the money spent at the camp directly benefits the local Masai community as it provides direct employment and there are no middlemen involved. We stayed 5 nights and each day was above all our expectations. Fantastic place where to stay if you want to be in the middle of wilderness and at the same time feel safe, special and be treated like royalty. Big Thank You to William and his team for making our stay so special and memorable.

Staying in the Camp was one of the best experiences in Kenya. We stayed there only for one night, but we learnt so much about Massai and felt extremely welcome. The staff showed us there world and guided us, so that we felt part of their home during a bush walk. We learnt the meaning of some of their dances and were shown the fire making without lighter. The food was good and original, but don’t expect a 5 course meal. It was simply good! For us as it was a must have while around the Mara.

Talek
Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant with special diet menus available on request. The property also offers packed lunches. There are 3 different communal mess tents where guests can relax and enjoy a drink at the end of a long day’s safari. Spent 9 nights here. The location is great as you're sleeping in the park. Obadiah, the manager, was great. He helped me with everything from game drives to getting a covid test needed to depart. Dennis, my driver/guide, works for Julia's and was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable & kept in contact with the other guides so we didn't miss a river crossing (or anything else). We saw leopard, plenty of lion, cheetah, hyena, elephants, two river crossings (5000 animals each crossing), cheetah kill, hippos, buffalo, wild dogs, crocs, etc. Truly exceptional and once in a lifetime experience. The meals were great. I had pancakes, fresh fruit, & whip cream for breakfast. Eggs, etc are available. Value for money 10/10.

The tents are very comfortable, the hotel organises the game drives during the day with all the meals, you have nothing to worry and just enjoy the incredible wildlife and landscapes.
Beautiful place in the hills of the Maara… extremely friendly and accommodating staff… amazing luxury tents… top-notch local guides - Alex, our guide, and Jon, the GM, are exceptionally welcoming and knowledgable… great food produced in their own gardens… incredible wildlife right in the reserve itself… beautiful game drives, not only in the Maara reserve but also in the conservatories which allow you to do walking safaris… bonfires for sunsets in the bush… just infredible… cannot recommend more… we had a wonderful time and will be back.
The staff was super friendly. Service was top notch.Their starter soup was super good and food in general was delicious and they served in big portions No WiFi problems, hot shower in the tents .The director got us a great tour guide for the game drive.Would definitely be going back !
Greenwood safari camp was great value for money! It was only 2minuets from Talek gate! All the staff were wonderful! Madgy the owner was very accommodating and helped organise Safari tours for us and answered all our questions. If you are looking for budget accomodation you can’t beat Greenwood!
very good location near Talek gate. possible to see wildlife from the bush camp spacious bungalow swimming pool to relax between game drives people were friendly and food was good
We had an amazing stay at Greenwood. Price quality is excellent and I really would not have changed it for a 600 euro a night lodge! Magdy is a super nice person, gave us a free tent upgrade and helped us with everything (safari, balloon flight, rides to Nairobi). The tents are good and the whole camping looks really nice, you can relax in the hammocks, take a swim in the pool and go for a small walk to the river (where you also have amazing sunsets).
This was a fantastic place to go on safari in the Masai Mara. It was a beautiful location, surrounded by animals, many of which wandered the camp at night. The game drives were very good, lots of information given. We saw everything we wanted to see. The tents are well equipped and comfortable. We had the farthest one away from the lodge but never felt worried or scared by the animals roaming around.
