Monte Carvalhal da Rocha has a beautiful location with breathtaking views. We enjoyed walking around. There is a small zoo as well. Our stay was pleasant also because of the receptionist Ricardo. What a professional hotelier and wonderful person! Ricardo is full of kindness and humor. He provided an excellent service to us! He was always there for us, all of our needs were met immediately. Ricardo gave us also helpful tips on the area around as we don't speak Portuguese. We would like to thank Ricardo once again for his great service! We will definitely recommend Monte Carvalhal da Rocha to our friends.

Place is great, Hosts were nice and the bread on the door together with the items already provided in the fridge made a great breakfast. The location is quiet but nearby good Restaurants and only a short Drive to the beach and nearby greater villages. Great recommendation!

Bed was very comfy and we had a doublesided fireplace which we enjoyed very much. The kitchen had everything you need, including a toaster and a dishwasher. Communication with Carla was very cordial and helpful. And the homemade bread and pumpkin jam were delicious. You have to have a car to get to restaurants, supermarkets and beaches, but the tranquility is exactly what we wanted. Couldn't recommend the place enough.

The common living room was always nice to have a glass of wine in the evening and exchange travel experiences with othe guests. Ruth was very friendly, prepared a delicious breakfast and made every day beach and restaurants suggestions for us to check.

There was a lovely comfy sofa in the kitchen / sitting area which sat 3 people. There were 4 of us - we felt it would have benefited from an another comfy chair. The owners had boogie boards, windbreakers and umbrellas that you could take to the beach, which was great.
