Great location. I loved the decor. It would have been better if I had received their messages (I had been in an area without a phone signal) because they really have lots to offer but I didn’t know until it was too late.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

The shepherds hut was so warm and cosy and dry, even in January! The log burner is wonderful. The bathroom facilities are warm and dry, even in the middle of the night since they left the towel warmer on for us. The shower is wonderfully warm, which we really appreciated after hiking Pen y Fan. Sam and Helena were very helpful! Giving us detailed instructions to find the site and local recommendations. We will absolutely be back!

Everything was perfect and staff were very helpful. As a suggestions if they can arrange a microwave for every cabin, it would be great.

The location of the hostel. Close to main road, but hidden from sight and very quiet. Very cosy cabin. Spotless kitchen and toilet facilities. Beautiful views and good privacy. Easy access (walking about 2 miles) via footpath to main hiking path to Pen-Y-Fan
