The accomodation is so stylish and luxurious, and yet super cozy so we instantly felt at home. The location, in the heart of the village, was just beautiful and amenities such as a grocery store and friendly pub were only steps away. As this was a family reunion we loved being able to relax and cook "at home" on occasion as well as being within walking distance of all that beautiful Looe has to offer. We loved it!

The Captain's Lodge is a true gem that exceeded my expectations. The standout feature of The Captain's Lodge is undoubtedly its breathtaking views, especially at night. As the sun sets, the town and estuary transform into a mesmerizing spectacle of twinkling lights. The proximity to the beach is a definite highlight for those seeking a coastal retreat. Whether it's a morning walk along the shoreline or an evening spent watching the sunset, the convenience of being so close to the beach added an extra layer of relaxation to my stay. Equally impressive was the location relative to the culinary center, situated within a stone's throw from an array of delightful restaurants. Exploring the local food scene was a joy, with each dining establishment offering a unique blend of flavors. The convenience of having such a variety of dining options within walking distance made my evenings both convenient and delectable.

The apartment is decorated nicely, and the owners were really helpful with checkin and instructions. The view from the room is not bad as the apartment is quite high up. Nice little pub at the end of the street for Brunch and Dinner, but I'd recommend a walk into the town itself.

We liked the privacy and freedom to do our own thing, not being bound by breakfast times (self catering) or vacation times. We had access 24 hrs through a private access path. The location is truly close to a fabulous beach.
