This is not a stay in a hotel. this is an experience! From the moment you arrive, location is a bit hard to find, but they’ll pick you up and drive you to the resort. The other brother stands with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. The room is great, good bed good shower and clean. Even good wifi in the room… I had twice dinner there and once lunch. I asked for a lake view table and they arranged it beautiful with lamps and a campfire. Stunning! The food is sooooo good, best I had in Sri Lanka. Everything you ask, nothing is too much for them. I really was amazed Go here!!! you will love it 😍

We had an amazing stay with the heartwarming family that is taking care of the eco village. We were welcomed very lovely by the host and her daughter. She served delicious Sri Lankan food and was always checking whether everything was fine. The property is really beautiful and gives the feeling of an authentic jungle stay. The huts are small but cosy and mosquito nets are already provided. Sadly we booked our safari tour beforehand but the hosts of the eco village also offer safari jeep tours so we would highly recommend to book it with them. The brother of the host was also very friendly and took care that we get to the bus station on time to catch our bus to Hiriketyia. In total we would really recommend to stay at this place and get the chance to live with locals.

The food (veggie buffet) every night was social and a great way to meet other people. We did two safaris with them which were both really enjoyable. I got a really lovely surprise because I had booked a dorm and since they had no others customer they upgraded me in the wooden house that I highly recommend. I stayed in the treehut (bottom one), which I liked a lot, but it was right next to the communal area with music and drumming.

Most probably the most unique accomodation in sri lanka. The owners are super lovely people, every night the people sit together at a firepit, playing drums or just listening to music with a very good lunch and some beers. The food is always top and as cheap as the local prices. great place to meet people. Also you will meet monkeys, dogs, chipmunks, birds, varans and many more. The love of detail in the gardens and the little huts is amazing. Would love to come again!
