Flying trout boutique lodge is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in the world . We had a lovely suite upstairs with a panoramic view of lake Taupo . Breakfast is wonderful and Karen will insure you are pleased with everything served . Rob is helpful with area info and a few nights he drive us in to town for dinner . Breakfast was done with tremendous care, amazing food and well displayed. Fruits of all sorts + fresh baked croissant + fresh coffee / tea and we were event offered a choice of our preferred meals (omelet / fried eggs / bacon / sausages) that would be cooked as requested. The room was spacious: king bed + dressing table + seating area + fridge + coffee making facilities + shower place + separated toilet + bath tub. The bed was very comfortable and sheets are very soft. There's a lot of other modern facilities: special lightings, ambience radio, etc. Location was about 10 mins drive from city center. Far enough for a good quiet time and close enough for easy access. View from the room is amazing. Residence dogs: Bella (black) + Rufus (white) were such a joy and treat that greets you.
