Casa Amazonas is beautifully designed and decorated, has delicious food, professional yoga teaching and facilities and Vanessa and her staff are so welcoming and inspirational. The hotel is very well run and beautiful. I know it’s not truly in the real jungle but it gave us a good taste of it with a nice level of comfort. They planned the excursions for us and timed it very well. We didn’t feel rush or exhausted. All the guides were very knowledgeable and spotted many wildlife during our excursions. We saw capybaras, caymans, river otters, many types of birds and red howler monkeys!! The food was also amazing, three courses every meal! Lastly, all the staff were very friendly and professionally! It was an amazing experience!

The host, Roland, and his family were very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. The lodge was very spacious and clean and the view of the Madre des Dios river is amazing. My favorite part was that the accommodation is in the jungle and surrounded by wildlife but at the same time there’s good connection to the town of Puerto Maldonado by car or tuktuk.
