Beautiful location, plenty of space to sleep, relax, have meals plus great views. Very helpful staff that visited the house while we were away and prepared fireplace for us after we used wood the day before. Perfect location to explore Savegre forest and this area. In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Absolutelly nice, perfect place to stay a little out of the beaten tracks, but in full comfort and perfect service.

I loved the food, it was a pleasure each of the gastronomic moments. There are river and forest walkings to go and a variety of activities to plan around the place.

Gorgeous sorroundings full of flowers and birds. The service is spectacular and the food is good. The rooms are comfortable and it’s just a beautiful and peaceful place to be. The quetzal tour was also very great value!

The property features pool and garden views. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Everything. The location was great, clean all around, comfy bed, roomy space, host is awesome. All around the best place to stay near Dominical in our opinion.

Cerro de la Muerte is 33 km from the lodge, while Jardin Botanico Lankester is 41 km away. The nearest airport is Tobías Bolaños International Airport, 53 km from Curuba Lodge. Fantastic hosts! Norem, Esteban and Valeria made us feel at home right away and went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast and dinner (with the hummingbirds around) were delicious, prepared to the point and with several dishes to choose from. The cabins are all new, very well designed and furnished, the bathroom with steady and immediate hot and cold water supply. A garden with a small trail are in the making and will make spending time in the crisp and clean mountain air even more worthwhile. We can highly recommend Curuba Lodge which became our favorite place in Costa Rica! Tip: Esteban can connect you with a few guides to see the rare and iconic Quetzal birds.

Guests at the chalet will be able to enjoy activities in and around Platanillo, like horse riding, cycling and hiking. Log Cabin in Tinamaste Valley, Habacuc Woods, BARÚ has a picnic area and a barbecue. The cabin had everything we needed for a great night’s stay! Fully stocked kitchen (utensils/appliances) and the nearby Abues market made for convenient cooking. The absolute best location I could choose. Top of the mountains surrounded by trees, endless birds, waterfall views and sounds, and sunrise/set. I would definitely stay here again.
