Cordoba is a good example of what happens when you don't...
Cordoba is a good example of what happens when you don't have good urban planning. There are some beautiful buildings here and there but there is no real old centre even thought the city was founded in 1573--450 years ago--and has the oldest university in the country! Instead one finds high rises built helter skelter and so there is no harmony to the city. Also, most of the facades are blackened by dirt and pollution. We took a city tour by bus but the narrator had little to say in English compared to the Spanish version. It was not worth the expense. The people, however, are lovely and friendly and the cost of eating is low for tourists with US dollars. If we ever come back, it will be to visit the many attractions in the province, which will require renting a car. I advise you to go online to see what to do and see in the city.

Very nice historic centre.
Very nice historic centre. Also very nice art galleries and museums. Found some good restaurants and cafes. Visited Alta Gracia and the Che Guevara museum. Only off putting thing was Neuva Cordoba although pleasant full of bars and nightclubs which make sleeping difficult.

Cordoba is the 2nd largest city in Argentina and has seven universities so the population is pretty young. It is a great city to walk in as it has several pedestrian only streets through the downtown.
I recommend the City Tour Bus to get a sense of the central area. Many great cafes and restaurants. Several museums and art galleries worth seeing. Taxis are everywhere and cheap for US visitors. The exchange rate is changing daily so get your money in an ATM early in the day as they run out.

CordUnfortunately, most museums, galleries and even churches (even the historic temples) are only open in the afternoon. The surrounding villages are beautiful.oba is a city with relatively few tourist attractions, but it is a truly youthful, vibrant city.

Wonderful colonial centre; fabulous cafes and pedestrian walkways. A great student vibe. Highly recommend. Would also recommend taking the bus to Alta Gracia and visiting the Che Guevara museum and Jesuit estancia.
Good location close to the airport (you still need a taxi or remis to go there). Good for just a night a transit, not for a stay in Cordoba as it is still far from the city center.
Lounge areas to chill while waiting for your flight. Close to a supermercado with a few dining options.
Outdoor pool is nice. Room and bed were comfy. Nothing less or more than what you would expect from a chain hotel near the airport. The staff was really nice
Our stay at En Nueva Cordoba Cerca de todo y súper equipado was perfect. The flat is in a terrific location in what very well may be the cleanest and safest part of Cordoba. Everything was ready for us when we arrived, and we wanted for nothing during our stay. All communications with Edgardo were easy, and he was very helpful and welcoming via WhatsApp. Highly recommended.
Quiet apartment with all the amenities: good WiFi, a/c, small balcony, kitchen, elevator, TV with movie channels, secure building. Location is ok, 1 block from park, 10-15 min walk from bus terminal, 10-15 walk to central square plaza, and building located in the nice Neuvo Cordoba neighborhood. The owner Nicholas is a nice good guy, very helpful. Good value.
A very nice, comfortable hotel in practically all respects. Well managed, with very friendly staff. Centrally located near Plaza San Martin, within a mile walking of most main sites of the city. The hotel also has a top restaurant for dinner, and excellent food in the cafeteria all day, in addition to the very good breakfast
Despite some initial hiccups, my stay was enjoyable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Though the room was slightly dated, it was comfortable and well-appointed. The hotel's location was convenient, and dining at the restaurant was a highlight. With a few improvements, it could become a top choice for travelers.
Excellent bar with great cocktails; nice pool and fancy lobby area; always very friendly and helpful staff; organisation of tours; mini shop at reception; extra common rooms like kitchen with a good style; all in all a pretty cool ambiente; location of the hotel is good with a vivid modern neighborhood
The artifacts in the hotel were so interesting. The staff was absolutely amazing, friendly and accommodating! We were able to sit in various locations in the hotel, to read and converse, which was very pleasant. The history of the surrounding area is interesting and the area is walkable.
This place is delightful. It’s not a hotel so don’t expect hotel style facilities. It’s like a really upscale home stay.Pay the extra and get a suite. The cheaper room on the ground floor is ok, but the first floor rooms are far better. Ask the staff for the tour of the cellars.
Eclectic and quirky, this historical house provided the most comfortable stay and fabulous hosts! To anyone coming to Cordoba, if they choose to not stay at Casa Woppa, they are missing out! To Nacho, and Tito, thank you for the wonderful stay.
Very nice place, good location in the city. Very close to the Center and the beautiful Paseo de las Artes. The guy working there spoke very good english and was always very kind and helpful. If we are ever in Córdoba again, we will come back!
Probably the cleanest place I stayed in Cordoba and really good value for the money. Piky, the host, was super easy to communicate with. Apartment is located about 6-7 min walk to a lot of bars and restaurants...
The hotel works and the rooms are spacious, the third room had two large beds, which is really nice :). The hotel as a very large reception area, where you can actually sit or do some work.
The hotel is in a good location in the city center. There are large shopping malls around it, which is very convenient. The front desk of the hotel can provide English service.
Very nice hostel in center of Cordoba. Cozy, clean, (10 out of 10!), the men and the girl were the very best at the reception.
Super suggested for every low budget traveller!
The administrator was very kind and helpful, as well as flexible. The location couldn't be better, easy to access the main attractions of downtown Córdoba on foot.
