Our accommodation was upgraded compared to what we ordered. Overall, however, this place was a pleasant surprise and it is a shame we couldn't have spent more time here. Annenheim is a very small town on the Ossiacher See.
Annenheim is a very small town on the Ossiacher See. We were there for only three days, out of season (end of April) and with bad weather, so we did not explore as much as we would have if the weather were better. We did some walks around the lake and in the forest around it. There are many different trails, from easy to hard. There is also paragliding, possibility to rent boats, skiing in winter. One thing we noted is that out of season almost every restaurant/cafe in the area is closed (one would need to go to Villach to eat out).

Incredible combination of views around the lake and far to Slovenia mountains. You could practise or visit various spots and have a lot of activities. You need at least three days. The offer for booking is vast and onest at the right price.

The hotel is very well located near the main motorway and near to many interesting locations to visit as tourist. The hotel staff was so welcoming and friendly, room very clean with a beautiful view of lake and castle. The breakfast had a lot of variety and everything was fresh. Room was superb, clean, roomy and cosy, breakfast healthy and of excellent quality, clearly no expense was spared in that regard. Only a few minutes from the main road. Conditions were snowy / icy (-7-9 celsius), but it was all cleared off up to the hotel. The place is run by a couple, they're very friendly and caring. We'll probably return in the summer. :-)EndreHungary

Since we were there during European Bike Week the rates were rather high. I would definitely recommend taking a room in the Jägerhotel / Jägerhof, which is right next door, because there are newer and larger rooms at mostly the same rate. It is owned by the same people and both guest houses share one reception (which is in the Jägerhotel anyways)

(Hiking, biking, bathing ... etc.) Breakfast is excellent and with great selection from local producers. The private beach on Ossiachersee is something really special and offers full comfort for relaxing. Staff was always very friendly and helpful and special thanks to Angelika for her kind help. We will definitely go back here again, if possible.

It was handy that there is plenty of space by the entrance to safely store bicycles etc. The appartment itself is very spacious and well equipped. The view on the Ossiacher See is great. In the area there is a lot to do and see without masses of tourists.
