This hotel was an absolutely amazing stay, situated no more than a 5 minute walk from Salzburg train station and a 10 minute walk to the near by Mirabell Garten, it is the perfect location. The room itself was super spacious and I had booked a mountain view room, which shows you the beauty of Salzburg and the surrounding mountains. The room was so spacious, definitely the largest I have stayed in on my recent trip across Europe. The bed was super comfortable and just what you need after a busy day of exploring. The Toilet and bathroom are separate, which I really like and the shower was an amazing rainfall shower, which was super relaxing. The breakfast is also extremely delicious, with the options of both hot food and continental breakfast, a great way to start your day, with breakfast being on the 15 floor, you get the most spectacular views first thing in the morning, it would have been nice if the roof top bar was open, but im assuming its due to it being out if season and weather conditions. As we did have some snow when I was here. The bar is on the 14th floor and you also get a spectacular view of Salzburg and the mountains. I would absolutely love to stay here again and plan on doing so on my next trip to Salzburg.

The hotel was nice however our room and toilet had not been properly cleaned and we had to change the room on arrival. The toilet was dirty and this was extremely disappointing. The staff gave us another room really quickly which was fine but to me this is a no go. I would not stay here again.

Made famous for its “hills alive with the sound of music”, Salzburg is a very pretty town filled with romantic buildings and squares. If you are not yet aware that Mozart was born here, then you will be as soon as you land at Salzburg W.A. Mozart
International Airport. Further your education about this musical prodigy at his actual birthplace, Mozarts Geburtshaus.
The city is the namesake of the Salzach River which runs through it, and alongside this beautiful river lays the Schloss Mirabell, one of the many impressive castles within the city limits. Schloss Mirabell and Hellbrunn with their picturesque gardens, beautiful galleries and impressive halls make the ideal spot for a picnic during summer.
The white-stone Hohensalzburg fortress is perched upon a green hill and offers magnificent views over the city. Or, you can escape it all in the Kapuzinerberg forest, which offers splendid Alpine vistas- a reminder of Salzburg’s natural beauty.
The shopping centre focuses around Alter Markt Square and Getreidegasse, the latter is a quirky street with old-fashioned signs indicating what each store sells. With 125 hotels and guesthouses available on Booking.com, your stay in Salzburg is bound to be as pleasant as this city is pretty.
Beautiful scenery. Fun Sound of Music tour taken with Panorama tours (I’d recommend them). Lots of interesting places to view and visit. Great for walks and cafe/bar stops along the routes. We went by train to Vienna for a day trip and took a bus tour around the city. A full day and a little tiring but well worth it. Reception staff at the hotel booked the train and taxi tickets for us which was very helpful.

Nice ambience, small area easy to cover on foot.
Nice ambience, small area easy to cover on foot. Friendly young restaurant owners/workers, lots of alt places to check out (Afro Café, Genusswerkstatt) it doesn't always have to be the Sacher!
We specifically booked this hotel to visit the Stiegl Brewery. So the location was perfect. It was also easy to walk to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The Staff were especially helpful with the parking and ideas for dinner. Note that we were not visiting old town Salzburg but the walk was about 20 minutes which we ended up doing since we waited for the 2:00 English Tour at the Brewery. It was well worth the wait and we ate at the Italian restaurant, Osteria-Cavalli and found it very good.
This aparthotel has a very location, a 10 minute walking from the Salzburg Train Station and the Old Town. Staying in an apartment was essential since the restaurants close very early if you arrive to the city at night. The Check-in and Check-out was easy, the staff give you great instructions. If requested (and depending availability), you can do an early check-in. The Room was bigger then expected and with everything you need for a few nights on Salzburg. We really enjoy our Stay :)
Amazing, clean and convenient small hotel. Despite its size, it gives you an exclusive feeling: well-designed rooms, great restaurant, small yet new and beautiful wellness and fitness area, children game room. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the kitchen staff produces magic (kudos to Sofia). Easy access by bus to the Old Town, you can also get Salzburg card at the hotel. Parking is ample, easy and convenient, which is a great thing when visiting cities like Salzburg.
Hotel Cocoon is located a short walk from the Main Train Station in Salzburg and a little over 15 minutes from the Old City Center. The hotel was quiet and conducive to a good night's sleep. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the facilities are clean and attractively decorated. The bathroom is modern with a nice shower. We liked the free bottles of water available from the front desk. I would stay there again when visiting Salzbug.
The room was nicely furnished and with 3 beds we still had plenty of room to move around. We were happy with parking being located right out front of the building. The breakfast was very tasty and the space was nice. If you are using the metro system to come in to Salzburg, this is your hotel.
We liked that the toilet room and the shower room were separate places. Travelling with a teen, this was a really convenient feature.
Centrally located. Just across the bridge from the Old Town. It is also just a short walk from Mirabell Gardens and about 20 minutes walk to the train station. Room was good sized. You can get complimentary bottled water and chocolates from reception. There are also umbrellas that can be loaned if it is raining.
Staff are friendly.
The rooftop bar has an awesome view of Salzburg. Do check it out if you're at this hotel
Location is superior. Customer service was fantastic- reception helped with maps- the salzburg card- calling a cab for me in the morning to the train station (which was only at 12 euro ride and they drop you off/pick you up right by the hotel) The room was very quiet and there was AC ;) Vending machine with wine/snacks in the basement is a good bonus if you feel like having a glass after hours in your room.
Beautiful premises and attentive staff. Somewhat curtailed due to COVIDS but not the service and comfort level. I am an avowed sucker for luxury hotels and thanks to a discount this one was affordable. The breakfast that came with the room price was AMAZING! Fresh made yogurt, eggs cooked as you wished, real croissants and lots of Austrian specialties, fine tea and coffee. I hope to come back.
The hotel's location right by the train tracks was not evident on booking. It's location in New Town was good with lots of shops and restaurants around it. Parking was very convenient. Breakfast was wonderful but an additional 20 E extra per person per day. The train area was very noisy all night outside the window. We knew it would be a longer walk to the old town of Salzburg.
The location was good, very quiet for sleeping but only 15 minutes walking to exciting old town. The room decoration was stale, not really exciting but the bed was very comfortable. The hotel also offers car parking which was quite handy, we didn’t have to use the car at all while staying in Salzburg. The buffet breakfast offered a quite good value for money.
Thank you for a lovely stay, the hotel staff were extremely friendly, the location of the hotel was a short distance from the city centre. The rooms were comfortable and I felt extremely rested every night.
The option to take free tea, coffee, and water up to your room was a lovely touch. We can't wait to come and visit Salzburg again.
From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, everything was perfect. A lovely room, superb breakfast and very friendly, attentive staff. Just a 10 minute walk into town and 15 minutes to the old town to see the Christmas markets. I can’t praise this lovely hotel enough. Thank you for a perfect stay in Salzburg.
An excellent choice in Salzburg, just 5 minutes from the city centre by bus. The bus stop is 1 minute from the hotel and two frequent bus lines can be used. The ticket for the bus is included in the Salzburg card.
As for the hotel, it was clean and the staff was very polite. Finally, the breakfast was very rich.
The hotel was perfectly located for our needs, within walking distance to the station and right on the edge of the old town. Everything we wanted to see and do was within easy reach, the room was quiet and the breakfast options very good. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Salzburg.
The hotel was perfectly located in the heart of the old town of Salzburg! It was very easy to find even at night. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Absolutely incredible staff and great breakfast included! We would definitely stay here again we hope to be back soon!
Amazing hotel, close to the old town of Salzburg. Only a 10minute walk to the old town. Hotel was clean and comfortable. I love that is dog friendly. Perfect breakfast, a lot of choice - everyone can find something for themselves - even champagne.
Nice hotel in a great setting very close to the city with parking on site. The room I had was nice, AC, very small bathroom but okay, the rest of the room was nice and you are not staying in the (bath)room all day in Salzburg (hopefully!)
The Staff was very helpful. I left my passport in Munich and the reached out to tho old hotel and it was sent to me by the next morning. The hotel is super close to the Salzburg HBF train station making travel easy.
Great location. Hotel is next to the Salzburg train station and bus station. Walking distance to Old Town or the buses can be used. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were helpful.
The staff is friendly, there is a restaurant/bar and there is a lot of parking. It’s off the main road so it is quiet. I travel to Salzburg frequently and this is my hotel of choice.
