The staff were exceptionally professional and kind. I’ve been to a lot of places in my life but haven’t had been surrounded with such nice people. The hotel itself were amazing. I’d highly recommend it.

The private access to the lake is wonderful with use of paddle boards, kayaks etc. Drinks available at the lake using an honour system (awesome), pay at the hotel. Staff were really lovely. Looked after my bag. Breakfast great selection with proper coffee machine.

An eclectic choice of rooms. In the end I settled for a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel, which turned out to be blissfully quiet, with none of the ambient noise you get from modern hotels. The bar and restaurant area was friendly and lively, very welcome after a week in relatively characterless establishments further east. The trout I ordered was delicious.
