Room was the expected standard. Bathroom light/air extractor was very noisy and rattled when turned on. Probably needs repair. Shower sent water up to the ceiling before getting to the rose so needs some replacement or repair.
Location was great being near the beach/jetty area, shops and the C.ex club where I was attending a conference. Hope the large spider or insect I found in Unit 5 was found by cleaning staff and either removed or killed.
Featuring free WiFi, a swimming pool and a BBQ area with outdoor seating,Hideaway Motor Inn is just 5 minutes’ drive from the University of New England. Satellite TV is standard in all rooms.

Exceptionally clean and well cared for room and property. Plenty of parking on site, even for my large van. A great sized room with fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery, glasses, etc. A good sized tv and it's reasonably well positioned within the room. The shower has a curtain not glass doors, but it's white so you can see that it's clean. Comfortable bed. Very helpful and friendly management. Exceptional value for money! Despite the electrical fault with the a/c on the night that I stayed, I would definitely stay here again. Fantastic value for money.

The location was a nice 5 minute drive from town with a beautiful 180° landscape view of Armidale as you drive into town from the property.
Although there was no physical lobby/reception, it was an easy online check-in prior to arrival. The staff greeted us in a friendly manner to hand over the key card and brief summary of facilities at our disposal.
It was a pleasant surprise to know that we were able to feed a few tame deer secured by a petting fence towards the back of the premises. They were placid and gentle for my toddler to pet and feed.
The rooms were a great size for a family of 4. Usually with hotels you only get an option of two beds. Our room had 2 single beds and one double bed as well. I requested a cot for $15/night. This made it comfortable for my toddler to have his own bed and my baby in the cot. Leaving mr and my mum to have a bed to ourselves. The bathroom was a decent size with a large shower.
The continental breakfast was included in our stay and consisted of toast with condiments and several cereals.

The manager is a very nice guy and is keen to make your stay as good as it can be. This is a small country Motel and is great for an overnight stay when travelling or a few days when visiting the New England area. Your car is under cover and the room arrangement suits both summer and winter in the area.

Armidale is a nice little town to drive around and has plenty of dining options. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Whitebull Hotel - my 2 teenagers and I all thought our meals were some of the best we've ever had.
It's easy to navigate around the town whether driving or walking. There is an information centre in town with lots of pamphlets, maps and relevant info, as well as the place to book and start a historic tour of the town.
We visited to use Armidale as a base for visiting the many National Parks and reserves in the general area. There is so much beauty within a short or moderate drive. Ebor Falls is stunning and a super short walk. New England NP around the Point Lookout area is so beautiful with its Gondwana forest. Cathedral Rock NP is a contrast to this with giant granite boulders and lots of orchids and other flowers at the right time of year. South of Armidale is Apsley Gorge and falls, and Dangar Falls - both had minimal water coming over the falls when we visited, but were still so picturesque and would be amazing to see after a decent rainfall.

We only stayed for one night, on our way home to Queensland.
We only stayed for one night, on our way home to Queensland. We did not have a booking, but it was pet friendly. We googled the restaurants and hotels that were pet friendly, we found the Grand Hotel that catered to pet owners, it was was a lovely hotel, met a few "locals" made us feel at home, the meal was top notch, and our dog was very welcome. If we had more time, we would have loved to to stay in Armidale for few more days. It's a very interesting place to see and do things, we will definitely go back again .

Very close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Everything in walking distance. Bowling club next door and Ex Serviceman's club a block away if you want to visit a club. Supermarket across the road. Armidale is a pretty town.

Well laid out town with great options for restaurants, plenty of beautiful buildings and churches to look at. See Saw was a great breakfast coffee shop to fuel up for a big adventurous day.
The city mall center has great potential but the vibe has been affected by economic troubles.
the manager & his wife were so helpful & friendly On arrival (which was about midday) I asked if we could leave our car in the carpark & will come back at 2pm to check in, the manager said we could book in straight away as our room was ready. Our room was lovely, with plenty of room and so clean & fresh. The heating & electric blanket worked a treat. The location was perfect, so close to pubs & restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
I chose this motel as it was close (4-5) blocks to The Armidale School, and although I had a car, walked to the school. The motel staff gave a map and stated me in the correct direction. This motel has routine checkin at 1300 which suited me as I had a show at the school at 1400. It's single storey - park at your door, solid brick construction (you don't hear noise from next door) and I thought gave value for money.
We are an older couple & I had reserved a ground floor room but on arrival found that we had been assigned to an upstairs one.
Although the motel is only 2 stories high, with outside stairs, the receptionist happily gave us a ground floor room as requested on my booking form.
Also the TV remote control was clean, not sticky.
4 chargers were available for electric vehicles.
An exceptional motel in the centre of Armidale. Beautiful comfortable and clean rooms with luxurious decor, first class restaurant and bar facilities. Can’t express how beautifully they have updated and maintained this hotel in the art deco style. A definite treat for anyone staying and dining.
Reception/Manager welcoming and helped take our luggage to our room! The motel is located on the northern side of Armidale at the first roundabout on the way south from Glen Innes. Older motel, but good sized rooms that were extremely clean and welcoming.
I asked booking.com to change the date X1 day.. the hotel was not busy and they would not swap it.. so that was rude and annoying.
They advertised I could swap dates and then in reality they didn’t do that so I will NEVER book through booking.com again.
Superb and very clean cabin. Close to Armidale for all the sights and attractions in Armidale. Great park to stay at when visiting the parks with the falls and walks between Ebor and Armidale. Only a short drive to Dangars Falls and Gorge.
we booked the king suite, the.bed was very comfortable, the room spacious, modern bathroom. walking distance to pubs, shops…
staff very friendly and helpful when we lost an item.
will definitely stay there when passing through.
A crown jewel of private accommodation in Armidale.. huge space, very comfortable, beautiful garden, you hear nothing but the birds in the morning. Lots of special touches in the room... I let you discover those yourselfs..
Very well looked after house, clean and comfortable. Heating provided which was important as Armidale gets so cold at night! It was perfect. The host was extremely responsive and pays attention to fine details.
Armidale cottage is perfectly situated. The facilities were excellent, furnishings, are beautiful, well set out and comfortable too. We only wish that we could have stayed for more than 1 night.
The location of the hotel in relation to shops, restaurants etc was great as there is very limited public transport. Check in was easy. Bathroom facility was kept clean and tidy.
We booked this hotel on behalf of the guests who stayed there. The guests were really happy with the accommodation - nice and central and pool was refreshing.
Beautiful property a few minutes out of main town of Armidale. Rooms were immaculately clean and the property is peaceful & quiet with beautiful views.
