Barnes Bay is located 12 minutes from the ferry in a beautiful rural setting on the ocean although not too far from all the fantastic attractions the island has to offer. It's certainly a great place to stay for a holiday. Loved our time there although it wasn't long enough.

Rob was a very communicative host.
Rob was a very communicative host. The property was very clean, tidy and well equipped with aircon on when we arrived. Set in a beautiful, scenic and quiet area. Perfect as a base in which to explore bruny island. Ollie the dog was an unexpected delight.

The property was beautifully positioned over looking barnes bay. A few steps and you were near the water. Very sheltered and peaceful. Close to the ferry. Nice to come back to after driving around bruny island. 15 minutes from get shucked oysters. Bonus for us !

We really liked the location very close to the ferry terminal but accessible to the other spots on Bruny. We enjoyed the peacefulness and scenery and would certainly return.
We did some lovely walks ... Cape Queen Elizabeth Track being our favourite. Also the Pennicott boat tour was fantastic with plenty of seals and dolphins to be seen.
We had an enjoyable lunch at the Cheese Company and found the store at Adventure Bay very handy.
