Close to Litchfield, our favourite place in the NT - Wangi especially is the best pool we've ever swum. We come back each year. The Museum at Bachelor was interesting, as was the Butterfly Farm - an eclectic collection of furniture, knick knacks and animals.

This place is the last place before you enter to Litchfield National Park. Pleasant place to stay if you wish to stop before you go the the park. Litchfield Outback Resort has great kitchen, pub, shop, liquor store. Pleasant environment just to relax, listen to the birds at late afternoon. The beer is so cold, strongly recommend

30 - 60 minute drive to most of the sightseeing you want to do in Litchfield National Park. Batchelor is very small and doesn't have many eating options but there was a great hotel, Litchfield Bistro that had great food. We didn't really see anything in Batchelor it was more a place to stay close to Litchfield National Park.

We were in Batchelor to go to Litchfield NP, which we enjoyed immensely. The Butterfly farm was good, and the people, atmosphere and food at The Banyan Cafe a million times better than where we stayed at Pandanus on Litchfield/Litchfield Sunset.

Batchelor came as quite a nice surprise.

Batchelor came as quite a nice surprise. It is of course a perfect base for exploring Litchfield, but turns out it is also a lovely village with interesting things to see in its own right. Take time for a good look at the Havlik Castle, and don’t miss the Butterfly Farm!
