A simple drive through town on the way to Jindabyne and the ski fields. The pub is cosy, there a few shops although no general store. Its more affordable than the closer sites and the drive is relatively easy.

Warm and toasty in both temperature and atmosphere. The lounge area was great to hang out in at night playing a game or two of pool. You really don't notice the few extra minutes drive from Berridale to the snow fields. The monetary savings are worth it.

If you are looking to go to the snow and want to be a little...
If you are looking to go to the snow and want to be a little distance away then Berridale is a good option. Lovely coffee shop "Whiskey and Cocoa" and a cellar door in close proximity. Great to drive down some wonderful country roads- The Cellar Door in between Berridale and Dalgety is worth the drive- Open Thursday to Sunday 11.00-5.00. Plenty to do and see around the area.

The hosts were excellent and Nic has clearly put a lot of thought into how they could make the place as comfortable as possible. From the house we walked through the town and visited Shut the Gate for a wine tasting and enjoyed the short walk back home. The kitchen was well stocked and our hosts even provided beautiful nibbles and sourdough for us on our arrival. It was the best little break from the city, highly recommend.
