Had a wonderful time in brisbane on our way back from an overseas trip to see family. Have been to brisbane before but not stayed right in the city. It was really good to stay close to the shops and all the restaurants and attractions especially as it was over New year. Really enjoyed our stay with family (teens - who enjoyed some freedom to go off and wander on their own and feel safe and happy to return to the hotel as and when they pleased). Would recommend Mantra on mary to anyway for a short stay in the city with everything close at hand. - Would definitely stay again.
It can be good though it will never be excellent...one example most shops are shut by 5pm-6pm unless it's late night shopping you will have a little more time to get what you need. Of course there's 7/11 which is open late though it's pricey and may not have what your after. It can be expensive to live here.
Brisbane is a great place to stay for a short trip away. Easy walking around the city. South bank Parklands is a short stroll, situated on the Brisbane river. Laid back city feel. Many places and eat and enjoy.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had asked for a high floor and we were given 23rd which was perfect, well above traffic noise. We loved the balcony which was glassed in and could shut out any noise, but opened up to give fresh air. The unit was a lot bigger than many we have stayed in. The place was very clean and had all the facilities we wanted. The water pressure in the shower was impressive, and there always seemed to be plenty of hot water. There were lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. There is a taxi rank on the next block so getting a taxi back to the station was not a problem, we didn’t have to book in advance. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit the City.
The place seemed a little run down. I stayed at the iStay River City a few years ago and it was great. This trip was a little bit dodgy. The Fridge didn't work (it was hot) so we couldn't store any cold water or drinks/food. I called the service desk but they didn't send anyone to the room. The Room smelled weird, like a fresh paint musty smell. The smell when getting off the elevator to our floor was revolting. The smell was from the garbage cupboard. The Apartment was ok just seemed like it needed a good clean.
Our family had a great time in the city for 5 nights - we managed to fit a lot into our stay. Southbank was awesome, great kids parks and a beautiful spot. Checking out the mall and shopping (the Funhouse Arcade was a huge hit) Museum of Brisbane had some great exhibits and we happily wandered through for a few hours Strike Bowling and Laser Tag was great fun and then out to Chermside for more shopping, dining out and fun at King Pin and Holey Moley Had dinner at Little Singapore, it was divine. Took advantage of the novelty of Uber Eats as we dont get takeaway where we live. The City Hopper was a great option to get us on the river to see a bit more of the city. We enjoyed great service every where we went - never had an uber not turn up, had great food. It was a really good 5 days.
Brisbane CBD, Brisbane
We booked for a standard room, but were upgraded to an executive suite. The apartment exceeded our expectations, and the standard of the room, furnishings, and amenities was excellent. The views over the Brisbane River were spectacular, and we spent a good deal of time just looking out the large windows. The hotel is in a great location in the CBD, with many eating places nearby. It is also within easy walking distance to St George's Square, public transport and thee Southbank precinct.
Bowen Hills, Brisbane
Went to a gig at The Triffid which was $7.50 Uber from the hotel. 15min walk from Fortitude Valley Mall. So if you’re heading out in the valley but don’t want to stay in the heart of it Code Apartments is a good little distance. The street isn’t that busy also so you don’t hear all that city traffic. The room was large and clean. Balcony was big and the kitchen has all you need. Definitely staying again.
absolutely loved signature street art integrated into architecture - this bold statement of confidence in the heart of Brisbane city, practised by great reception staff, nothing too hard for weary travellers and so close to Fortitude Valley dining and retail expressive of great Aus design.. wonderful way meet the city of Brisbane for the first time Will definitely recommend to friends and family
I booked two different rooms, on arrival in Brisbane and on my return trip before departure, Queens size bed and King size bed, both beds were really comfortable, very helpful staff made it work for me ! thanks again ! The hotel was located between the airport and the city, bus and train in minute walking distance. very practical !
The Location of this hotel, in my opinion, is the best in Brisbane if you are looking for a night or two in the city. It is in the heart of Howard Smith Wharf and very close to the night spots of Brisbane. A short scooter ride will get you to Southbank. The staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable.
Milton, Brisbane
It is only a 30 minute walk along the river to the City, South Bank or Brisbane's West. The apartments were a good size, equipped with washing machine and dryer - neat and tidy. There are also quite a few cafes and restaurants nearby - shout out to the bunker for best coffee.
Very handy to the CBD and the Roma Street Parklands. It is located within a reasonable walking distance from the Brisbane River, which was a nice way to pass the time in the evening, and the ferries if you wanted to go and explore. I would be happy to stay again.
The Hotel was ideally placed with really easy access to the Gallery of modern art and the Art Gallery as well as Southbank and the museum. It was close to public transport with easy access to the city. Also liked the free parking available at the hotel
South Brisbane, Brisbane
Day or night the view is outstanding! The location was perfect with Victoria Bridge connecting you to CBD, Southbank is by far the most lively vibe in Brisbane. The bedroom towers over the view sometimes you never want to leave that room.
South Brisbane, Brisbane
Brilliant location in the heart of the vibrant Westend district of Brisbane. Short stroll to Southbank. Well located for restaurants and activities. Apartments was very well sized. Great shower and comfortable bedding
Very cool & modern hotel in the CBD overlooking the river and Southbank. Great attention to detail in room fitout. Certainly more interesting & fun than its muted contemporaries. Highly recommend.
This hotel is a little gem right in the middle of the city! Lovely staff, well equipped rooms and an excellent pool area. We were able to walk to Southbank, Riverside and the heart of the CBD in no time.
The hotel was quiet.Price was good. Not too far to walk to southbank. There was plenty of places to eat near by. The bed was comfortable really good value. Did not have to pay extra for parking.
