Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us. There was not a lot for us to do there other than a drive into the small community and a drive outside of town to look at town water supply. We brought our own food and supplies with us , expecting there would be limited choices within the town .There was very little available at general store when we looked so very pleased we made that choice !

It was a very quiet place, close to lakes so good for people who fish or for those who wish to get away from noise. Make sure you take most of your supplies to eat and drink as the one local shop doesn't offer a lot of choices. The cabins are a good size with a seperate bedroom away from the lounge area. The wood heater was a lovely addition to the electric heating. The spa was a nice idea and very relaxing. Not great reception for phones or WiFi, but awesome if you want to get away from it all.

There is not much in Bronte unless you are a fisher.

There is not much in Bronte unless you are a fisher. The pub burned down but there is a very basic general store which sells some food and some takeaways and lots of antlers! It was a convenient over night for us between Strahan and Hobart, allowing for several stops on the way (Don't miss The Wall in Derwent Bridge)

Bronte Park is a little off the beaten track but well located at the southern end of the Lakes Highway. We stayed in cabin 3 and were very pleased with the cosy cabin and its facilities. After a long day travelling from the far north west of the island and just making the last hour visit to ‘The Wall’ at Derwent Bridge, we were very pleased to stay at the Highland Cabins. We had prepared with our own dinner as we realised it would be a distance to go out after a long day......very pleased we did!

The cottage had washer & dryer, dishwasher, big fridge, two bedrooms with queen size beds with electric blankets, a wood stove which kept the cottage warm with lots of wood and log splitter, and electric heater in case you can't get wood heater working. There was a carport to park our car. WiFi coverage was better than Strahan or Queenstown. A great place to stay if you're into fishing and hiking in the Central Highlands of Tasmania.

Fairly isolated so consider taking your own food and drink, although there is a general store with basics. Diesel only at the pump but petrol (including 95) available at Derwent Bridge. Wilderness Hotel there does great food with some dishes (eg excellent curries) suitable for takeaway. Unit recently painted with a decent kitchen and good bathroom. Communal washing machine. Decent wifi. The nearby The Wall woodcarving is a must see.

everything you could want was there. fully stocked kitchen, combustion heater, spa, comfy bed, plenty of towels, plunger coffee, plenty of firewood thoughtfully restocked each day. lovely cosy cabin for two. Nearby Bronte General Store has essentials, Derwent Bridge for a nice lunch, and interesting hikes around the area. simply a great spot to stay.

We enjoyed how the property had a full kitchenette, allowing us to cook our own meals. This is fairly essential when dining out options around Bronte Park are very limited! We also enjoyed the privacy of the location, having a private deck, and the cleanliness of the room. The proximity of the accommodation to Lake St Claire was also good.

Although a little off the beaten track, Bronte Park is worth the trip. Beautiful location and studio with everything needed plus more. Ultra quiet and peaceful outlook. Bonus of clean BBQ at each cabin - although we cooked inside - and free washing machine and powder at the shared laundry. Overall, very very nice.

So remote and quiet. The free port was a bonus! Reception was very welcoming and helpful. It is unlikely that we would be travelling to Tasmania again any time soon as there are so many places we have to see in Australia but if we had to I shall not hesitate to stay at this isolated location.

Bronte Park is an excellent stop over for visiting The Wall in Derwent Bridge and a half way stop from Hobart to Queenstown. The extras in the cabin were unexpected, it was set up for a longer stay than our one night.

Clean. Patio overlooking the property. All cooking facility. Loved the bottle of port. Close to Bronte Lagoon with an amazing sunset. Saw animals on the drive back.

Both my wife and I agree this was the most pleasant play to stay during our 14 days holiday in Tasmania. Unfortunately only one night but the best!
