Lovely area with surrounding mountain views.

Lovely area with surrounding mountain views. Need a car to get to and from places. A cafe/nursery only 2 kms away but after that it is to Tyalgum or into Murwillimbah. Driving around the local towns is a nice way to spend a day or do some walks in the area. Tyalgum has various musical events over the month, worth checking out if something interesting is on during your stay, mostly on weekends.

Crystal Creek is one of those romantic little country towns with both charm and great food (a very hard combination to find). It's grown so much and spending days driving around is a freaking pleasure.

The best things about Crystal Creek was the accommodation,...

The best things about Crystal Creek was the accommodation, views, the amazing food and the two gents who run it. My husband and I went away for our 20th wedding anniversary and we enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed a great morning tea at the nursery/cafe just down the road. It was quite busy there and I couldn’t help but notice everybody ate everything off their plates. The small community of Tyalgum was amazing - we highly recommend visiting. A friendly warning: the roads around these areas can get fairly busy with day trippers competing for road space with weekenders and locals. Keep an eye out for motor bike riders, they’re quite hard to see and some of them must miss the speed and warning signs. Apart from the beautiful scenery and great people the local businesses seem to look after each other and are happy to promote others in their local and neighbouring communities. It’s really lovely to see.
