Most people simply drive through. However, a walk around the hotel grounds in the morning will give you great views of the sea and the plain below. a short drive will take you to the old telegraph station which is interesting. from there you can walk or drive (4WD required) to the beach and old Jetty.

Nice cool rooms with good air conditioners as I stayed in the middle of summer, the heat was 50 degrees Celsius on my trip to Eucla. Great food at the restaurant . Comfortable beds and bathroom was adequate. I had a huge , what I call a truck drivers breakfast, it had everything and sets you up for the day. A good stop compared to Norseman and even Ceduna further on.
