The external appearance looks dated, but the rooms themselves were clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. A microwave would have been handy. Reception was open till late, as opposed to the 5pm closing time on booking.com. Nothing flash, but good value for money .Good for a short stay.

The town is great and the locals are as well.
The town is great and the locals are as well. The motel is tired and our room lacked maintenance but was clean. We had issues with the shower getting the temperature correct (never) the A/C rattled the windows consistently, the noisy and dirty extraction fan and also missing a cover, the TV remote didn’t work and I couldn’t be bothered trying to get new batteries for it or reporting it. The electric blanket on the LH side worked but only on three, so you cooked. Eating out in town there was plenty of places. I will be more diligent with the ratings for future stays! 7.3 is too high.
This was our 2nd stay at The Bank Guesthouse in Glen Innes and the improvements since our previous stay in 2019 were evident. From the friendly welcome through to the farewell everything was as it should be and Phil and his wife are great hosts. The rooms and lounge upstairs are warm and cosy with reverse cycle aircon and/or electric heating. Very comfortable bed and our own bathroom this time. A cooked breakkie was included and was very adequate. We will be back again one day I'm sure
Sapphire Cottage proved a great location for our stay in Glen Innes. Spacious, bright and airy with all you’d need for self-catering. Close to town with a relaxing outdoor area. Loved the wood burning stove and the roses in the large garden. Definitely a decided cut above all those bland country motels. We came to participate in The Goodness Gravel cycling event and will be hoping to stay at Sapphire Cottage again next year.
Lovely location just to the south of Glenn Innnes. Being out of town and amongst fields was excellent. Despite the July conditions, the place was warm and comfy. The nearby Alpacas were a nice touch. The hosts were helpful but gave us our own space and did all they could to provide a comfy stay.
The helpful friendly staff the couple who run it obviously want to attract visitors to Glen Innes. There seemed to be a few travellers staying there, so attractive to travellers
An old style hotel restored well for a comfortable stay
The roast pork dinner was delicious and cooked well
The on-site fossicking is awesome and the cabin was clean. The Ac worked well keeping the cabin toasty and warm all night. Staff are always friendly and we will only stay here when we head to Glen Innes. Great value for what you get and the kitchen is pretty good to in the cabins :)
Is in a quite location, & an easy walk to the main street. The room is clean & tidy, has bunk beds which are a bonus and the main bed is comfortable. These units are good value for money and the staff are extremely friendly.
Will stay again when next passing through Glen Innes.
Room was very comfortable, and very clean. Note I stayed elsewhere in Glen Innes previously and this far outranked the other facility,
Bed was comfy
A dining table with chairs, plus an 'easy' table with comfy chairs
Good shower and again bathroom was spotlessly clean
Clean, tidy & comfortable accommodation with adequate bedding & airconditioning. Toiletries & kitchen supplies great. Breakfast was a great bonus with cereal, toast, fruit & yoghurt. Friendly staff. Highly recommend for your stay at Glen Innes.
Room was spacious, bed comfortable and extremely clean facilities. Parking at the door.
Free continental breakfast. Will stay again when in the area and will certainly recommend.
Friendly staff
As a guest from Scotland, the hotel was like stepping into a time warp back home. I loved the traditional scottish decor, super authentic. Staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating!
Will certainly return, old character residence with loads of charm, greeting was lovely and the location to all Glen Innes pubs and restaurants perfect. Breakfast was great.
Glen Innes is a lovely old town with all necessary amenities. Pleasant motel in a quiet street. Plenty of food options within a short driving distance.
