We loved The Garage pub/bar. Great food and brewed drinks.

We could walk there easily from the house. We drove to Bingil Bay and to water holes and water falls......but the rain prevented us from walking very far. There are beautiful walks around the area though and are well worth doing. Make sure you wear insect repellant!

Area was good for a quick relaxing break. Tried two different places for a meal on a Monday night and they had run out of a lot of food items from the weekend. But can definitely recommend the little pizza takeaway place open for a couple of hours every night.

Mission beach is awesome.
Mission beach is awesome. Friendly residents and staff at all restaurants. We never had one bad experience regarding food at any of the wide variety of restaurants. food was excellent at all. Woolies is available for anything you forgot to bring along. Wish we could have stayed longer. Plenty to do and sight seeing drives. Our little Maltese dog was also welcomed everywhere. Awesome shops for browsing or chilling sipping a cocktail at Buco.

Friendly locals in an idyllic setting.
Friendly locals in an idyllic setting. It's obvious why they are so happy. The unseasonal rain didn't dampen our pleasure - the temperature was a relief and appearance of the sun added to the occasion.

Restaurant was good. Can walk to other bars and restaurants. Pools were amazing. Great ocean front green area to sit at with views of the beach waves rolling in. Rooms needed updating as were a bit tired but they have started up grading the hotel and understand it takes time.

It was our final night when we discovered The Garage bar and Brew house. We spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon/evening sitting in the beer garden enjoying the local brews, food and music. Highly recommend this place.
We had a great stay at Licuala lodge, our hosts could not of done any more for us,they were friendly and made sure we had a beautiful Christmas stay in the Nth Queensland rainforest. We had 3 cassowary sightings ,one with a chick. Our hosts served a great breakfast. The location is near a local community, beautiful beaches and the Mission Beach resort bistro is a friendly venue serving great meals.
Location was perfect in pure luxurious tropical nature. We were lucky to witness a cassowary and a lace monitor on the premises. I felt like going a bit to Jurassic Park! The kitchen is immaculate, that is a very good point. Located 5 min drive from Mission Beach center
Very helpful receptionist. Took me to the unit and showed me the short cut through the tropical gardens to the pool and the hotel for dinner. Unit interestingly decorated. Very pleasant. Would stay there again.
Location is ideal to the beach, and being between Mission Beach and South Mission means it is easy travel. Woolworths is also close by. The Caravan Park is very packed, but where the cabins are located you would not know.
The breakfast was excellent. We appreciated the care that went into providing recommendations for activities in Mission beach. Host was very friendly and accomodating.
it was spacious, clean, very well equipped and the location was perfect - our cabin was right across from beachfront so had a great view and easy access to beach
