Great location to experience Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills. Spa rooms had their own parking area which was a great benefit as parking is difficult in Hahndorf. Overall enjoyed the stay.
Nestled on 13 hectares of open surroundings with stunning views of the Adelaide Hills, Discovery Parks - Hahndorf Tourist Park is located in Hahndorf and offers an outdoor pool and a bistro.

We loved everything about the property from the moment we arrived to be greeted by the host’s Mum who was lovely and showed us through the property and provided some supplies to start us off was a lovely touch , fresh sour dough bread milk a few waters and condiments and coffee pods and tea. We stayed for three nights over Anzac Day long weekend and a cold snap in Adelaide hills 7-17degrees so the combustion wood fuel fireplace was excellent and was on when we arrived so cosy as we were shown around the stables. A beautiful pergola is being constructed outside the music room for future guests and the music room was so cool with original timber rustic floor stone walls with a huge collection of Vinyl records which my wife and I enjoyed as well as the leather lounge and reclining leather chairs with excellent Tv Netflix Stan fetch and movies. The kitchen was excellent too just everything we needed and well equipped. Loved the whole look and vibe of the place with mixtures of stone walls recycled brick and timber beams which led down the hallway to the bathroom which is a lovely size complete with good water pressure for showers and a washing machine with towels etc. Then the next room is the Bedroom it’s huge with a beautiful king size bed with plenty of warm blankets and beautiful timber furniture quirky bits and pieces we absolutely loved it . It was so quiet at night total silence we slept like babies.
We will definitely be coming back.
Outside the stables is a large crushed stone area with plants and rose bush with a nice little outdoor fire pit area if you wish to sit outside. The newly completed Arbor as you enter the property with Tara sables sign is beautiful and completes this perfect rustic gem of a getaway. Thank you so much for providing such a nice place for a couple to escape Sydney and totally relax in the Adelaide Hills Littlehampton.Local markets and a food land and bottle shop are just a 3 minute drive away.

Mount Barker, is conveniently located a short distance from Hahndorf, a historical village established by German emigre's in the late 1800s. The suburb is also a convenient drive away from Adelaide and is centrally located between the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. It has a large shopping center with a good selection of shops.

Host is nice and organised.
Host is nice and organised. Outdoor setting would take it up a level. Slats on beds could be sturdier. Continental Breakfast available but BYO bread and butter. Toilets seemed very clean. Floors maybe needed a mop. Wifi excellent.

Access to the Mount Lofty region, wineries, Handorf makes this remarkable location a must. It is expanding in all aspects, venues, parks and travel around Mount Barker is very easy. The train needs to be reviewed and I have written to the State, local and C'wealth government with my concerns. The commute to the City is constantly under roadwork activity and the negotiating of traffic with huge trucks is becoming more hazardous. It would make sense to get the train up and running and really enhance MOUNT BARKER as a go to destination !

Our family stayed for 3 nights for our daughters wedding, which was nearby. Facilities and quality of the accommodation was very good. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment as we were out with other wedding guests for most of the stay. However, if we were planning on spending more time in the apartment, it would have been ideal for our family of 5 to spend time together, with lots of space for everyone to be together or have some alone time etc.

We stayed there to go to a wedding in nearby Nairne so didn't explore Mt Barker but from our drive through there seemed to be nice lush gardens, plenty of shops and other amenities. Also it's close to the quirky hills towns.
