The property is just too old and is need of massive investment. there was nothing that really was worth any form of accolade.
Set amongst lush gardens in the beautiful Blue Mountains, Blackheath Motor Inn offers unique Alpine-style accommodation.

I appreciated the flexibility of being able to check in later, around 8-9pm, and the convenience of directly contacting the staff to inform them about our delayed arrival.
Set amongst 8 acres of tree-lined lawns and gardens, guests at these self-contained cottages have access to a tennis court and heated indoor swimming pool.

A lovely place to stay for families and couples - beautiful grounds, games room and tennis court. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated and beds very comfortable.

A lovely escape to a world easily forgotten, wonderful antiques adorned the guest house and the staff were quite lovely. Yes quite different from your up market city hotels but its quaintness and surrounds were perfect.

Furthest mountain location from Sydney, so a longer journey, but quieter when you get there.
Lots of picturesque view points that are easy to get to. Having your own car will be the best way to see Mount Victoria.
Not many restaurants or cafes nearby, so either cook at home or be prepared to drive back to Blackheath, Leura or Katoomba for wider restaurant choice.
Definitely recommend seeing a movie at Mount Vic Flicks!

Mt Victoria is an unusual destination, not much there apart from the wonderful Victoria and Albert and a few small shops. Lot of buildings are closed or in process of restoration. It is right on the Great Western Highway, so easy to get to. Very close to some my favourite parts of the Mountains, Mt York, Blackheath, Hartley and Little Hartley, etc.

We came on a public holiday weekend so didn't get to see much. We went to RoseyRavelston bookstore experience and had a blast! Driving around Mt Victoria is easy and I highly recommend it for a quick and quiet getaway. There are tonnes of shops nearby in Leura and plenty of local cafes.

Tranquil, clean environment and what a surprise to find a vegan cafe/restaurant in the area 'Moon To Moon Cafe' which I can recommend ever so highly and I'm a *non* vegan. Just that venue and *my* stay at 'Hotel Etico' truly warrant a return.
I recently stayed at a remarkable guesthouse in Mount Victoria and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The guesthouse had a lovely lemony myrtle and musk fragrance, an impeccable level of cleanliness, magnificent decor, and warm hospitality. The breakfasts were incredible, and the location was surrounded by beautiful nature, complete with kangaroos on the lawn. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone seeking a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
The hotel’s overall look and its decor are the first thing that strike your eye. The property is elegantly furnished and nothing is left to chance: every single detail, from the common areas to the comfortable bed in your room, is thoughtfully organised and presented. The kindness of its owners, Paul and Steve, is truly the cherry on top. They really know how to take care of their guests, and they personally prepare the most amazing breakfast!
This place is a gem, it is a feast for the eyes, so much beauty. The view for the balcony is breathtaking. It is a heritage property that takes you back in time. All the staff are outstanding, we have stayed before and we were so happy to return. There have been lots of improvements made and it just keeps getting better. The continental breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely return and we would highly recommend. A real treat.
One of the best hotels we have ever been! Sparkling clean rooms, amazing interior decor, so much attention to detail in everything, delicious breakfasts included in the room rate and absolutely extraordinary service from the best hosts ever, Paul & Steve, - I have never felt so welcomed! The whole experience was beyond our expectations. We had such a lovely weekend, we will definitely be returning in future.
The hotel is value for money as it is one of the more affordable hotels in the area. When you factor in the cost for breakfast it is a really affordable hotel. The hosts were friendly. The building is beautiful for anyone into older houses. You can tell how beautiful this place will be with some additional work, the passion and bones are there that’s for sure.
The hosts were 100% committed to making your stay as nice as possible, heating our pre-race frozen meals and making us feel so at home. The dinner and breakfast were both amazing! My partner and I will absolutely be back next time we are in the Blue Mountains, nowhere else we would want to stay. Thank you so much!
Loved the friendly staff and the warm welcome. The bed was very comfortable; could sleep for aages. Loved the antique furtniture in the general public areas of the hotel. Had a lovely old fashioned at the bar. The room was a bit cold but there was a good panel heater and the electric blanket did a really good job!
Cooked breakfast very good. Dinner on both nights superb. Location for us excellent, easy access to Blue Mountains venues that we wanted to see. Great sense of staying in a hotel with great historical significance and atmosphere. Staff amazing, they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot during our stay. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was also very nice. Highly recommend having dinner on a Saturday night. The hotel is located near Victoria falls, Sunset Rock Lookout and the Hanging Rock, very nice if you are hiking too.
Super welcoming and friendly staff. Huge rooms and Heritage style. Open Fire in Dining area. Excellent meals and free full breakfast. Lovely rooms to sit in. Mt Victoria was freezing cold when I stayed and I was warm in this beautiful old hotel
Great location next to the Railway Station
Everything was outstanding. The hotel/manor is absolutely beautiful. The food was so fresh and such good quality, we did not expect the included breakfast to be so good. The staff were also very helpful. We are already planning when we can come back to stay again
The manager, Lona went above and beyond by making sure we got a special meal mid-afternoon even when the kitchen was closed. Special thanks to the chef.
She saved me at work by finding a spare mouse I could use. Super thankful.
5-star service all the way!
The location was peaceful. The history and charm of the hotel. The kindness seen towards the disability trainee staff was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and always keen to make sure our stay was pleasant.
The host's were incredibly friendly. Their attention to detail in every aspect of the accommodation shows. It felt like your were a guest at their home rather than a hotel customer. It was absolutely impeccable.
The hotel has been done up so beautiful. The furniture and attention to details make it feel like a movie set. the sunroom for breakfast was an absolute must
