Great country town that deserves time to be explored at leisure. So much history, including some of our own family history who were first settlers. Keep an eye out for koalas in the nature reserve and visit the museum. Dinner was good in the Ex-services club and the goodies at the Narrandera Bakery are a must.

Nerrandera has a large recreation lake and two large swimming pools, one for recreation and one for laps.
There is also a wetland full of interesting wading birds.
The cafes are very good and lots of them.
We had a good meal at the pub.

Lovely small town.
Lovely small town. If you have your own bikes, definitely do the bike trails around Late Talbot, Koala reserve to wetlands - it took us around 2.5 hours to do everything (at an average pace). The trail, although kinda rocky (but flat most of the way) was a very nice place.

I stayed exploring for most of the day and would have stayed another night had I known what was to be found. I stopped in at a lovely Cafe and had a great breakfast, I went to the tourism centre and looked at an upcoming art exhibition and spoke with the artist, I went to the grocer and had a look at the river, and did some shopping at shops including Vinnies. I was disappointed the museum was closed.

We were travelling with a medium sized dog and travelling big kilometres. We set off on a Friday and wanted to travel 4-5 hours. Narrandera was in that window. Having said that, these little towns have a habit of surprising you. Narrandera NSW is worth a look around.

Nice wide streets, some beautiful old buildings especially the NAB bank, the Royal Doulton fountain, the Narrandera Bakery - good coffee and the raisin toast was delicious. Good meals at reasonable prices at the Ex Servicemen's Club. Water Tower mural - would have liked to have stayed a bit longer.
Anna was lovely from start to finish and helpful.
They offer yummy home cooked meals you can heat up in your room. I had mushroom chicken casserole with mash and veggies! Yummy!! The room was spacious and very clean, shower had awesome pressure. Also The room was nice and dark when the sun came up so I got to soundly sleep in until 9am! Big sleep in for me !! I will stay here everytime I go through Narrandera now.
The location was great. I really liked the lounge area of the hotel in front of reception. It had different varieties of tea/coffee and that too for free. The owners were very kind and helpful and amazing. The only thing to watch out for is the location of the washrooms. Make sure to book a room a bit away from them if you are noise sensitive. Otherwise, everything was great.
Narrandera is a pleasant stop over and Bishops Lodge is a well run motel stay. The staff are friendly and breakfast was included in the dining room.
It is close to the shopping area where we bought great Pizza at the Pizzeria and noticed some interesting shops. Lake Talbot is worth a walk and swim in season - fantastic water park!

our search for a simple - but very functional - overnight stay, this proved to be much more value for money than hotels/motels that, halving previously booked , we cancelled. All basic essentials were provided with simplicity and uncomplicated professionalism
Charlie was so kind and friendly we felt so welcomed and had a fantastic stay at the Narrandera Club Motor Inn.
we were close to everything and it was the perfect place to stay for gusts at a wedding.
Would highly recommend this lovely Motor Inn.
Angel and Dan were great hosts, always wanting to provide good service. The room was quiet and very roomy and comfortable. Plenty of onsite parking. The Old Hotel is a beautiful building with lots of interesting history to look and read about.
The location to places of interest and dining was very convenient. The town of Narrandera has a lot of interesting things to see, with some beautiful old buildings and a wide variety of trees in nice wide tree lined streets.
Clean, fairly modern. Bed was really comfortable. Good location. Fairly quiet.
Close proximity to the Charles Sturt hotel which was a cozy place in the dinner section with delicious food.
We really liked this accommodation gem as far as motels go.
It was clean, had a comfy queen bed and good heating as it was a cold night. Friendly receptionist. Bathroom has been updated.
Narrandera was an overnight stop for me. I wanted somewhere quiet and fairly central, and this hotel ticked all the boxes. The hotel was very quiet an enjoyable experience
Great basic accommodation for a good price. Handy to the main routes through a rural town, and close to shopping and food shops. Coffee machine in the room was a bonus
