A nice relaxing short stay at the Metro Mirage Hotel Newport. A great restaurant near the Mirage hotel called the Beco Newport cafe. We visited the restaurant for a late breakfast on both days. Great service and great food. For a drink pop across the road for a drink at the Newport Arms Hotel with their vast outdoor seating and great views. It is close to the bus stop for a ride to Palm Beach to wander up the beach and have lunch at Barrenjoey House. Great service, food and atmosphere.SharonAustralia - 6.0Scored 6.0

The hotel is in a rich area and the price matches that. Sadly, the facilities do not match the price. Four nights there were dearer than my 7 nights at my next stop and this hotel is far better! Apart from breakfast - which had its own challenges - no other meals were available and the only option was a pub over the road. Lots to see and do around Newport as there are many iconic ocean beaches nearby. The Newport Motor Yacht Club is an amazing place to visit and enjoy the views over the marina with an outstanding array of yachts and motor boats to see.

A great location.
A great location. Our room was very noisy from the pub next door. There were other rooms available, especially with the awful stain on the floor. I do have a photo! It would have been nice to have a view, if there is such a room. The view from the restaurant is amazing!RossAustralia
