The locals were friendly and helpful. The streets were interesting as long as you are not a shopaholic.
Quirky but nice street art in the form of sheep and dogs.
Hotel dinner was generous and coffee and vanilla slice at the Cafe was great.
We were not there for a holiday but to attend a funeral, and everything we needed was provided.

Northampton is a pretty and interesting town with loads of history. Well worth a few hours to explore. The town is making a real effort to interest tourists with delightful street art and information boards.
