Nice big cabin near the river under the trees, outside of town, good kitchenette, gas cooktop, big fridge, kitchen water pressure and volume ok, bedside power points, comfortable beds, big TV, good AC, overhead fan but only one speed on ours, parking beside the cabin, a good place to stay at a decent price.

While a pleasant enough little town, the mosquitoes are absolutely unbearable & were unexpected. There are not many places I would not return to, but unfortunately the mosquitoes will keep me away in future. - If you do need to visit, or if you are able to spend most of your time indoors or within a vehicle for protection from the mosquitoes, the cafes have friendly staff & good options for meals, & the Chinese Restaurant within Nyngan Bowling Club is excellent, as is the Bowling Club itself.

Nyngan is not a stop over that has much to offer.

Nyngan is not a stop over that has much to offer. However if you have no alternative then the RSL is your best bet for meals and it's good if you're travelling with children. However places to stay are very very disappointing.

The welcoming attitude of the motel operators and his family was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Found the information about the 1990 floods very informative and the big bogan is definitely worth a photo. Only problem was the lack of meals on a public holiday.

We were simply needing somewhere to break our trip to Broken Hill but did spend some time walking around the township finding the Catholic Church where a friend was the priest years ago. It was sad to see so many shops closed or premises empty. Even a hotel seemed to be closed. It gave us the feeling that things were really tough for the town and its people.

My needs for staying at Nyngan was to break my 1700 km journey to Adelaide into manageable portions, i.e. 3 sections, driving alone and aged in excess of 80 years this was for the safety of not only myself, but other road users. Nyngan is a town that is easy to get around and has a number of sites of interest but that was not my goal on this trip.

Beautifully kept town. Lovely new bike and walking paths.

Beautifully kept town. Lovely new bike and walking paths. Unfortunately, museums closed but everyone in town was welcoming and friendly. A neat, clean town surrounded by a lot of wild beauty. Had breakfast at Marts-very good coffee! Dinner at the rsl-basic but generous. Drove out of town to stargaze.
