Cornwall Hotel, hotel in Port Moonta

Set in Moonta, 18 km from Copper Cove Marina, Cornwall Hotel offers accommodation with a bar and free private parking. The hotel features family rooms.

The old hotel was surprisingly comfy for a night. The room was clean and the shared bathroom was kept very clean. Breakfast cereal provisions provided and the common room area was appreciated. Hope to see the building preserved and restored as it is a great old place. Didnt see or hear the resident friendly ghost. Nearby Capellas' is a beautiful spot for dinner.

The location was perfect as we caught the ferry the next morning. The room was comfortable although we were caught out by the shared bathroom. This was mentioned in the paperwork but we missed it. *grins* The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The toilet and shower facilities were clean.

Poorly maintained basic accommodation in a very average location at a price I would expect to pay for much better ammenities. We will not be using Booking.com again if this is the quality of accommodation they are supporting.

Moonta is a lovely town with a lot to do in the area.

Moonta is a lovely town with a lot to do in the area. There are lovely beaches, mines for you to look through, a jetty if you like to fish, a water park for families. Great shops to look through as well as a well stocked supermarket. It is a great place to base yourself to do day trips to other towns that are not far away. There is a good choice of places to eat. It is a really nice town to visit.

On arrival told that if we hadn't booked through Booking.com we would have saved $30 a night. No wifi through duration of long weekend which caused a problem as I work. Asked for compensation from Moonta and Booking.com haven't heard anything back.

Moonta is an awesome place to visit.

Moonta is an awesome place to visit. The history of the town and the towns connected (Wallaroo, Kadina) is beyond belief. It is worth the trip, the towns maybe small and nothing like the city but it's nice for that quiet get away and the splash park makes it worth the trip. So go on visit Moonta you won't regret it.
